Looks like Wolverine is being added to the dead list... Stephen Harper will have a stiffy looking at that cover. But didn't Logan die and even go to Hell recently? Or was that just hype I read on CBR? Marvel's big September event, due counter DC's nu52 anniversary event, is killing Wolvie.

Titans Comics released Doctor Who The Tenth Doctor #1 and Doctor Who The Eleventh Doctor #1 yesterday and they were both very enjoyable.

Or was that just hype I read on CBR? The Wolverine goes to Hell story by Jason Aaron had his body possessed by a demon with his soul going to hell, but he didn't actually die in that story.

Such an oddly good week for Archie Comics. Life with Archie #37 was a nice tribute to what makes Archie (the character & the comics) so great; almost came close to getting mistyeyed. Afterlife with Archie #6 was even better and truly twisted. I'm really enjoying this dark take on the Archie-verse.

Yeah, I thought Wolverine has already "died" at least twice in the last 10-ish years or so. Once under Tieri and once a few years ago? I don't know. I'm skipping the stunt this time.

SUPREME BLUE ROSE wasn't exactly the newest plot in the world (essentially "Lois Lane"-- while having odd dreams about "Arkham Asylum" and "Saturn Girl"-- is hired by "Lex Luthor" to find a missing "Clark Kent"), but man, Ellis sure can sell it. Plus, there's Tula Lotay to give Ellis's atmosphere that extra kick. It was sorta if a DC editor way back when had lost their shit and given Phillip K. Dick carte blanche over Superman's Girlfriend Lois Lane.

This week's ratings
1. Batman '66 #13 ****1/2 out of 5: any time this Batman runs into a darker counterpart it works really well 2. Superman #33 ****: Geoff got this comic fixed real quick, I like the new "superman" too 3. Flash #33 ***1/2: the future Flash part got better 4. Batman #33 ***1/2: ok finish, liked the epilogue more 5. Aquaman #33 ***: I'm enjoying the new sea villain 6. Godzilla: Rulers of the Earth #14 ***: four mechagodzillas? that might be a fair fight 7. Batman and Robin #33 **1/2: Batman vs JLA... again 8. Wonder Woman #33 **: what was the last issue of Wonder Woman where she was tied up in every panel?

Better, I think (though I haven't done #3 as yet).

I assume mid to late August. Yeah, never in my life did I think I'd be picking up a Sabrina the Teenage Witch book. Ha me neither.
