Anyone know when the new Love and Rockets is supposed to come out? I thought it was supposed to be on the shelves around this time but I couldn't find a release date anywhere when I searched online a few days ago. Recently picked up the Satellite Sam trade (nearly typed Telegram Sam by mistake there - anyone spot where my error comes from?). This will be my first time reading anything by Matt Fraction. Been meaning to try something for a while now, but most of what I've seen of his Marvel work in previews hasn't attracted me ( Hawkeye being the possible exception) and the Chaykin artwork is another reason to make this one my first shot at a Fraction book. But in honour of the Hallowe'en month I think I'll read the last couple volumes of Fatale first. "Telegram Sam" was a T-Rex/Marc Bolan song that was later covered by Bauhaus. Providing a weird coincidence of sorts to your post is the fact that members of Bauhaus went on to form a band called Love and Rockets, named, of course, after the comic you initially mentioned. Well done! I know there are more than one or two other regulars here who would have known about the T-Rex song too. I've heard of the bands Bauhaus and Love & Rockets but haven't listened to much of their music, didn't even know about the connection between the two, or that Bauhaus had covered Telegram Sam. I'll have to check it out on youtube. |

In the meantime, did your shop get Loverboys or Bumperhead from Gilbert Hernandez? Shoot, I'm not sure - when did they come out? I knew Gilbert Hernandez had some solo stuff that was supposed to hit the shelves this fall but I must have missed them if they've already come out. I'll have to order them online if I can't find them at the LCS next time I'm in there. Thanks for letting me know they're already out. |

Could be an advanced copy.... *shrug* I never cared for CBR's reviews. Their reviewers are the new Wizard, and just stroke the backside of whoever's popular or whatever's popular. |

Well my current pull list has shrunk over the last few months with iron man ending , thor ending , lone ranger ending , all star western being cancelled . And Jupiter's legacy taking so bloody long between issues . To only 3 titles Image comics East of West , Lazarus and Saga all of which I am greatly enjoying . East of West has to be my favorite title of the three . I hear Dynamite is relaunching Lone Ranger in November . Will add it to pull list even though they where also very slow between release dates on past series .

Nothing this week, thank goodness. I have close to $200 worth of trades that I picked up during 24 Hour Comic Book Day this past weekend. Yay for 50 to 70% off trades!
