Annihilation was what got me back into comics but i re-read it last year and it just doesnt make any sense to me.
"The Boy who made Silence" was one i found really unusual but compelling. Child loses his hearing in a swimming accident i think, and it's six issues of seeing life of a small US town through his eyes. 6 issues, watercolours, published in UK and they went to town on it - larger size, glossy card stock covers, maybe 32 pages of story per issue. really dense strange and original story.

Greg Rucka's outstanding ambassador / humanist / warrior when I have to Wonder Woman - the best since Perez
Robert Crumb anyone ? Up to now everything has been new material, but this work is so fantastic. Fantagraphics started this series in the eighties and it continued well into the 2000's. Lots of other reprints we've already seen previously, but much of this work is extremely limited and hard to find. I would definitely be buying this and there's little to no continuity to it other than R. Crumb's characters, like Mr Natural or Fritz the Cat, appearing in several volumes.
Big Bang Comics ! Obviously a send up of Silver Age DC, though there are some issues that contrast with the Dark Age DC characters as well. Highly enjoyable and I wish it were still going. There is some continuity but each issue pretty much stands on its own. Started in the 90's but was still going into the 2000's.
There have been 3 different volumes of this title. I haven't read them all, but I like what I have read. The story of the Magdalena, an order of women descended from Mary Magdalene armed with the Spear of Destiny, and protector of the Catholic Church since the time of Christ. May not sit right with some as it plays with Church doctrine a bit, but even though I'm not much of a Top Cow person, I really have liked this premise and execution. Supposedly being worked on as a movie.

The Thing -- Slott again
Nextwave
The Twelve
Gravity
Spider-Man/Human Torch
Legion of Super-Heroes -- Waid & Kitson's issues
Courtney Crumrin
Beasts of Burden
I Kill Giants
Power Girl
X-Men: First Class
Veil
Teen Titans: Year One
Spyboy (started in '99, but the bulk came out after that)
Blue Monday
Hopeless Savages
Hack/Slash
Alias

I'll give a shout out to Superior Spider-Man. It's interesting that they're bringing back the series with two additional issues, #32 (Aug) and #33 (Sept) which will kick off the new Spider-verse storyline.
