Ah, they really nailed this. I love the casting of Scott Glenn as Stick and the actor as Ben Urich.

So Amy finally installed the Fire TV stick we had bought a month or so ago, and the first thing she did was sign up for the free month trial of Netflix, so we ended up watching the first 3 episodes of Daredevil (we took a break so she could watch How to Train Your Dragon2). Love the series so far. Will watch a few more episodes tomorrow night for certain.

Up through episode 6 now, very satisfying take on the character and story so far. I do think it has been extremely well cast and has gotten some excellent performances so far.

EDIT: Never mind, just saw that season 2 is coming next year! www.comicbookresources.com/article/daredevil-gets-second-season-with-new-showrunnersI too have finished up to episode six so far, and I'm thoroughly enjoying this series. And I'm a little sad that I'm already halfway through the series. And that we won't be seeing more Daredevil for at least a couple of years. Part of me wonders how they are going to keep the momentum going on these shows. If they average two seasons a year, plus the Defenders crossover series, we won't see a second season of Daredevil until 2018. I can't see them getting more than two or three seasons out of each character. Actors will eventually move on to other things, or age out of their roles, or audience may lose interest if they are not watching every series.

Rumors are the characters will transition into features and be a part of the Infinity War movies, so we'll see how it all plays out. Meanwhile it looks more likely that there will be a season 2 of Agent Carter and a possible Agents of SHIELD spinoff featuring Mockingbird as the co-lead. -M

Maybe they can air Agent Carter during the winter break, and the spin-off to air during the summer and early fall, with AoS filling out the rest of the year. I say this selfishly because otherwise I think I'm going to have a hard time following all these shows if they air together. Between DCs shows and the MCU shows, things are getting crowded.

By the way DD season 2 will be in 2016 according to the article on Marvel.com, so only a 1 year wait. My guess is Jessica Jones hits later this year (since they have done more casting for it it seems further along than Cage)and Cage early in 2016 then DD later in 2016 with Iron Fist to come later.

Read an article today that confirmed AKA Jessica Jones for later this year and Cage for next year along with DD season 2, with Fist and Defenders to follow some time after that.

If so, that makes me wonder what they plan to do if the other shows end up doing well. If the shows are all produced by different production companies, there's no reason why they couldn't produce them all simultaneously and release a season a year for each show.

They were always going to be on a sliding scale, and cover a range of years. All we knew when it was announced was that there would be 4 series culminating in Defenders and DD was going to be done first. Nothing there has changed. I don't think they ever had a set schedule when the series would be produced/released-a rough idea sure, but not a set schedule, and if the goal is to move the characters to features with Infinity War, then they have got 5 years to work with and they will space releases and productions accordingly.

I assume Season 2 will bring in Elektra, which will be awesome.
mrp-- If you haven't seen Breaking Bad, that's something else Netflix can give you while you have it.

I caught episodes here and there of Breaking Bad on AMC and never quite caught the bug everyone else has for the show. Certainly well made, but just didn't instill the desire to see more. Maybe if I start at the beginning, but I have so many other things I know I want to watch/read that I don't know how much time I want to devote to things I am unsure if I want to partake of. -M

In no way is it a "here and there" show, though. The only episode to start with is episode 1. The only place to go from there is episode 2. It is a flowing narrative.

I'd highly recommend Breaking Bad - and starting with the first episode. I had never watched a single episode of Breaking Bad prior to 2014. Hearing a description of what the story is about, it didn't seem like my cup of tea. But a co-worker highly recommended it and I saw it was available to View Instantly. So I started binge-watching and found it to be highly addictive and far more thoughtful/complex than I imagined. The arcs of characters are very important, so I think it'll help to start from the beginning.
