Huh. I've been pretty doubtful of Bernthal's casting as the Punisher because I just think of Shane from TWD when I see his face, but all of the positive buzz has me curious.

Finally watched the last couple episodes of Daredevil tonight. It worked really well.
I love the casting of the Kingpin and Vanessa, it's a good updating of those characters.
I'm curious to see how The Punisher's origin is played up, I got to think the Kingpin will be tied to his origins too.

I'm also curious to see how Melvin/The Gladiator and perhaps even Turk develop in the new season.

New ‘Daredevil’ Season 2 Trailer Description Reveals Punisher’s Intro
screencrush.com/daredevil-season-2-trailer-footage-punisher/The grand debut of Daredevil Season 2 footage from New York Comic-Con quickly made its way online, but will we be so lucky with the next trailer? A new report has emerged of trailer footage screened at Brazil Comic-Con has emerged, teasing our first major throwdown between Daredevil and The Punisher. According to reports, Comic-Con Experience in Brazil held a two-hour Netflix panel that included a video from Daredevil stars Charlie Cox, Jon Bernthal and Elodie Yung introducing new footage from Season 2. In lieu of any video leaks, a Tumblr user managed to describe the footage, which includes Ol’ Hornhead stumbling on some of the Punisher’s handiwork, before confronting the man himself: "The teaser started on a scene where Matt, dressed as Daredevil (wearing the uniform from the end of season 1) walks on a room that looked like a refrigerator. The place was barely lit and had big slices of meat hanging from the ceiling. As Daredevil walks on that room (the camera focused only at him) we see that he’s searching for something as he stays quiet, slowly walking deep into the room, turning his head trying to hear something. At some point, something not shown to the spectator grasps his attention. The camera open focus to the rest of the room and we see that there are also people being hanged like meat. Matt searches the corpses with his super senses, not touching, only trying for heart beats, once he finds someone he rush to aid the man: “I’ll take you of that” (or something like it), he says as he tries to take the barely alive man off the hook. After succeeding, he lays the guy (that I have no idea of how he could be alive considering how badly injured the dude was) on the ground and say something along the lines “Why did they do this to you?” In which the guy mumbles “They? It was just a guy”. Matt stays dead silent, camera focusing on him. The scene shifts. It’s night time and someone is on the top of a building aiming a sniper riffle at a person on a taxi. I’m not sure if the person being aimed was a man or a woman, though it looked like a woman. The man behind the gun is no one else but the Frank Castle. While Frank is readying his riffle for the perfect shot, unaware of his surroundings, DD appears. Running on the rooftop, he jumps and kicks the gun, amazingly diving over Frank to stop him. They soon engage on a fight, but when it was getting interesting and intense as f–k the scene was cut with the Daredevil logo and “2016 - NETFLIX”. Elsewhere of Daredevil Season 2, we know for sure that Rosario Dawson has been confirmed to reprise her role as Claire Temple, along with Scott Glenn’s Stick. In addition to Elodie Yung’s Elektra and Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, past Bullseye reports listed Marvel’s Mister Fear and Spider-Man villain Mysterio as potential villains for the season as well, though no confirmations have emerged. Drew Goddard remains aboard as a consultant, though the series has changed showrunners from Steven DeKnight to Marco Rodriguez and Doug Petrie. Netflix’s Daredevil returns for Season 2 in 2016

Still think that DD costume looks awful. I'm struggling to think of any character that has successfully portrayed a character with a half-face mask in a live action show and I'm drawing a blank - that certainly isn't the one.

Daredevil Season 2 confirmed for March 25th release date
Marvel releasing it on the same day as Batman v Superman.
Don't know about you guys, but I'm looking forward to this a helluva lot more. And I'm sure plenty of people will forego Batman vs Superman for a day or two in order to binge on Daredevil vs Punisher.

Marvel says Bernthal's take on Frank is a cross between De Niro in Taxi Driver and Arnold in the first Terminator movie.
This is what I've wanted to see since...well...FOREVER!!

Agreed Hell, I think it would be infinitely better just to leave him in the basic, black "Man without Fear" costume.

Sounds like a great weekend to me. Still, I wish Civil War was still on the same day. I was looking forward to a "super heroes punch each other" double feature.
