Yesterday after work I was 201. This morning I was 202. After working out I was 199. I'm driving myself crazy trying to get this cookout food out of my body.

Yesterday after work I was 201. This morning I was 202. After working out I was 199. I'm driving myself crazy trying to get this cookout food out of my body. If my experience last year taught us anything, it's that slow and steady wins the race, my friend. You'll get it out, but don't obsess and hurt yourself emotionally over it. It'll happen. Just stay the course and don't be afraid to allow an appropriate cheat now and then. I'm working on more balance this time around. I'm doing a very similar breakfast and lunch to what I did before, but I'm allowing myself more flexibility with dinner and weekends. I'm not going crazy with freedom on those occasions, but rather eating sensible amounts of things I enjoy. Last night, I had two helpings of beef mac n cheese and a bowl of cereal to follow it. Felt GREAT and wasn't too detrimental to my progress. if I can eat like that on a regular basis, I think I'll do fine. I'm down 2 lbs so far in less than a week. A lot of that is probably water weight as my diet is very low sodium. Whatever the case, I'm starting to feel good already.

Ate tacos for dinner last night and I'm still down another pound. I know the wait will come off much slower once I've dropped the 15 lbs of retained water and undigested food, but if I can lose weight and eat like this, I think I'm going to be fine.

Im up 1.4 pounds with my brother in law in the house after a weekend of partying. That number is acceptable while they are here. This weekend we are driving up to Niagara Falls and Lake George. It's unavoidable that I will eat a bit off my plan, but I'm okay as long as I don't go past 202. My goal is 175 , which I'm giving myself a year to get to. There is bound to be a few speed bumps along the way.
The positives is that my weight lifting is going along nicely and I'm stronger for my job.

Down 5 lbs. Best yet, this hasn't felt hard this time. I've been having raw spinach for breakfast, spinach salad for lunch, yogurt in the afternoon, and moderate amounts of homemade dinner until I feel full, so I'm never all that hungry and it hasn't felt like work. It's crazy that I'm losing at the same speed I did last time without all the pain. I suspect that will drop off once I lose the water/undigested food weight, but there's no rush if this is something I can sustain.
I think, once I lose ten more pounds (the rest of the water/undigested food weight), I'll set my expectations at losing a pound a week. Assuming I won't lose weight over the holidays and summer, I could still be at my ideal weight in two years. Maybe it's sustainable and maybe it's not, but I feel like I'm on a good track and doing well right now.

You're doing good, Shax. I'm determined to lose weight even over the coming holidays. I have been abstinent from bread, added sugar , red meat and any beverage that has Calories. I'm feeling faster and stronger because of it. In the week that my guests have been here I have gained only a half pound. That's unprecedented. I'm feeling encouraged by it. I weighed in at 199 this morning.

My in-laws are leaving to go back to Chile tomorrow afternoon. I started going back to my eating plan yesterday and today but I expect to see a bump in weight because of all the off plan eating that took place over the weekend. This past Labor Day weekend We drove to Watkins Glen falls, Niagara Falls and Lake George. I ate what I ate. I'm going to Weigh in Tomorow around 6am come hell or high water.

back from Dragon*con (Tuesday afternoon) where I ate TERRIBLE and drank an ocean of booze. . . .so no, I haven't gotten back on the exercise program or eating better (yet). . but did shop today, so fridge is full of fruit, veggies, and low fat things. I'll weigh myself in a week.

Well, I weighed in this morning ar 202.8. That's 4.2 pounds up from my low of 198.6. I'm not too disappointed as most of it is probably bloat from salty foods. Today I start to go back to eating normal. We had guests that were cooking and I couldn't turn down their kindness. I was also drinking with them , which is a no no.

It's okay to enjoy tasty bad food once in a while - only into Moderation; I go to Baskin and Robbins for Ice Cream every Sunday for an double scoop treat and sit down and enjoy it at the store for a 20 minute treat. BTW, I'm at 258 now.

I just got back from a team meeting and the league just announced that they shorten our season from 50 matches down to 42 and may go down to (fingers crossed) 38 matches and that's a big relief for all the coaches and participates.

I have rebounded since my guests left to drop 2.2 pounds. That's 1.4 pounds up from my low, which I plan to reach this week. I added some red meat to my eating this week with no ill effects, but I'm not going to overdo it.
