Hit two major stretch milestones today: - Weight at 159.8, that's 60.2lbs down; at last, after all these months, I've finally managed to join the "elephant penis" club*
- Also hit a measurement milestone as my waist hit the 30" mark, 11" down from when I started
AllPro weight programme is going well - just completed week 4 of the first 5-week cycle. Monday is test day to see whether I start cycle 2 with increased weights - pretty confident in most of the exercises, happy that I've recovered some of my muscle mass and that I'm finally starting to see hints of definition in my never-impressive chest. Also, closing in on my year's goal of 2500 miles on the bike - might just about make it this month, or maybe part way into November. All in all, pretty pleased with myself today - had a breakfast of cold pizza to celebrate (* if you're new to this thread, that might sound slightly weird, search the phrase "elephant penis" and it will show the earlier post in this thread, which will hopefully explain matters)

It's good to read your accomplishments, GS. I have regained some of my footing over the last few days and lifted weights twice this week. It really helps me in my job to be stronger. I'm still 24 pounds away from my goal of 175, but I'm not giving up. Also, Please guys,(@simongarth , shaxper ,@bert , @mechagodzilla @razormaid ) sorry if I missed some others, continue to post a few times a week about your progress. It really encourages the rest of us to keep moving forward.

My Hubby was willing to go out to do buffet with me, since he knew I was stressing. not great, but at least it was LUNCH I overate at, so time to digest it during the day and will have salad for dinner. I weigh about once a week for maintenance, and I try to post here when I do

I weighed in at 199.6 this morning. No progress but at least I'm not shooting up. I take it as a good sign that some of the eating habits are taking hold ( no calories in beverages , no bread). I am still lifting weights a few times a week and am definitely stronger.

Still bouncing around 161-ish - the "elly willy" day looks like it was a bit of an aberration. I'm glad I managed to touch it (hang on, let me rephrase that! I mean "reach that milestone"), but I'm not overly bothered about my weight now. My body shape is pretty much where I want it - I can't go much slimmer without losing the muscle tone that I've regained, and I can't keep my calorie count in much of a deficit, if any, if I'm going to build muscle up, so I think I'm going to call that 159.8 as the bottom and aim to put mass on now.
Yesterday was the first Test Day of the All Pro routine. To set the scene - you start out by finding your "10 rep max" (10RM) for 7 separate compound exercises - squats, bench press, bent-over row, overhead press, straight legged deadlift, bicep curls or upright row, and calf raise. You then do a 5-week cycle where each week has a Heavy (100% of 10RM weight), Medium (90%) and Light (80%) day, and where the number of reps start at 8 in week 1 of the cycle, and go up to 12 in the 5th week. So, by Test Day, which is Heavy day of week 5, you're lifting 2 sets of 12 reps of the weight you could only just lift for 10 reps, 5 weeks earlier.
Anyway, I passed 6 of the 7 (ie, got all 12 reps away in both sets) and failed the upright row, which didn't surprise me. Overall fairly happy with that result. I now see out this week, then start week 1 of cycle 2 next week with each weight of the passed exercises being increased by 10% (rounded to the nearest sensible weight)

In my recent trip to Victoria - I gain a pound on that trip and now at 256 and I hope to lose that pound that I gain on that trip today in my only Water Polo Match today. I worked out very lightly this morning to find out my current weight and all and informed my Coach of my availability for today. I walked around the mini-track for 2 miles and did curls and spent some time on a stationary bike as well. Worked out for 40 minutes very easily this morning. The real work out is later on that day at 9am for my only Water Polo Match this week.

Had a heavy cold for the last few days - no exercise and lots of comfort eating, not exactly prevented by the bags of halloween chocolates lying around. Hopefully back on the bike on Wednesday or Thursday and into the gym on Friday. Haven't bothered to weigh myself, or even really track calories - I know I will have gained, but will endeavour to work it off once I'm back on the bike / back on the programme

Down to 254 and I lost a pound in another 7 days worrying over my home repairs and some anxiety issues as well. I just got back home from another match and we came out victorious ... Scored 2 goals and assisted on another. Played the 2nd half and the season is almost over. Will have 10 more matches to go and playoffs begins.
I should be down to 250 by the end of this month despite Thanksgiving. Taking it slow and easy.

Well and truly fell off the wagon over the last week - no cycling or gym, lots of halloween chocolate around and eating compulsively when I wasn't even hungry - over the course of a week or so, I peaked at 165, 5 pounds up from my low. This kind of uncontrolled eating of chocolate etc is exactly how I crashed and burned the last time that I dropped a load of weight in 2011.
But! This time, I ain't going back to the fat pants. I'm back under control, back on the bike, back in the gym, and back down to (probably) 162-ish (I'll find out tomorrow morning).

I feel your pain, SG. I fell off the wagon too. Too much emotional drama going on in my household, but I'm going to buy the food that I need to succeed starting tomorrow.

I'm still at 254 and I hope to get down to 253 by the end of this week. I have a water polo match later on today and will be busy tomorrow running errands and meeting a friend for lunch that day.

Bike back into the shop yesterday to get some niggles ironed out, won't get it back until at least tomorrow. Previous bike needs a bit of maintenance so that's not rideable at the moment, so no miles for me today.
Managed to get 2 gym restart sessions in this week, including testing my 10-rep maxes today. Really struggled with chest press for some reason, but everything else was pretty comfortable, so I'll be starting Cycle 2 of the Allpro routine next week, with increased weights
Weight staying around 161.4 for the last few days, so the Halloween feeding frenzy seems to have worked itself through. I'm eating at maintenance level so I'm not expecting to lose (or gain much, if anything) at the moment.

I feel your pain, SG. I fell off the wagon too. Too much emotional drama going on in my household, but I'm going to buy the food that I need to succeed starting tomorrow. I guess the trick to all this is to never regard an 'un-wagonning' as the end to your journey - don't be discouraged or beat yourself up, just get back in the wagon when you can and resume. I'm not saying results will come as fast if you fall off a few times, but results will come if you keep getting back on. I really screwed up in 2011 when I went off-track for really stupid reasons and let that be a brick wall rather than a speed-bump. Now I'm no longer the callow youth* that I was then... I understand that the journey towards the goal always restarts each day; ideally from a better place than the day before, sometimes from a worse place, but as long as your path generally wends towards the destination, you eventually get there (* ahem, of a mere 50 years old)
