I've been opting not to worry about my weight with all that's going on in my life right now. Still, I've been trying to get into habits that make me healthier and feeling better. I make home cooked meals each night, cook home cooked breakfasts, and eat leftovers from dinner for lunch each day. I've eliminated fast food from my life entirely, as well as most restaurant food and processed food. That being said, I indulge when cooking and don't try to go for low-fat or low-carb options. I try to enjoy and be fully nurtured by my meals, and I don't watch my quantities either. With all this, I've been able to hold at -5 lbs. In time, as life gets a little easier, I might start actively trying to lose weight again. I've certainly got more time to hit the gym now. It just isn't a priority for me at the moment. So much of weight gain centers around emotions. It's the easiest and quickest reward available to overeat.

Depending on how severe someone is depressed, they will either eat a lot or not eat at all.

Bit the bullet and weighed in this morning. . slightly up, but not too bad (+ ~2#).
so I am currently at 177.4 (from a starting weight of ~246).
if I can only get the late night eating (from stress) under control now. . .

Dipping my toe back into the waters the past couple of weeks, I've been going to the gym twice a week to get ready for a real push at the beginning of the year of 3-4 times per week.
My weight is about 15 pounds over where I want it to be, so I'm going to make a real effort to get it down in the new year.

I'm up to 254 and holding firm - gained 2 pounds and I hope to be around 260 by January 1st and then start exercising again If I managed to stay under 260 or at 260 by January 1st. It will be great and because of metabolism; and another Water Polo League is starting up in February then the pounds should come off quite easily. I'm not going to weigh myself until January 1st. So, this is my last report of this year.

still having a very rough time keeping my eating under control. . but at least not pigging out on things that are too bad.
weighed myself this morning, and weight in at 178#. . so still under 180.. if I go over that, I'll start to panic.
but up 3# since my lowest. . .

just bumping this. . I'm right were I was 2 weeks ago. . except been dealing with my Mom in the Hospital as of Christmas Day. my binge/stress eating has spiraled out of control, and i'm avoiding the scale. I *can* say that i have continued to exercise as much as I have been able to (2-3 x per week). . and this week, Monday and Today, I did an hour and 20 minute walk (so about 4 miles). so maybe it won't be too bad when i do get on the scale. . .but I expect it will be. We've been eating out quite a bit these past few days as Nick tries to get my mind off the medical stuff going on

End of year check-in. Today I'm 165.5 - apparently trauma and comfort eating aren't good for keeping weight off, who knew? Up until the last week, it was actually quite a good year - managed over 2700 miles on the bike, got started on AllPro weight regime, weight down from 178 at the start of the year. Next year, take the comfort weight back off and build on some muscle. I'd like to hit 3500+ miles on the bike. Anyway wishing all my fellow weight-managers and fitness-enhanceers a happy and successful New Year - may all your goals tumble before the might of your resolve!

I've gained a pound since Christmas and that due to Holidays Eating ... Oh well ... at 255 yesterday and I worked out a few hours at the gym and did a mile swim.

OK, now this is getting ridiculous - I've just checked in at over 12 stone (168) pounds for the first time since July - that's 8 pounds gained in a month, 3 in the last 5 days! Apparently eating unlimited amounts of chocolate while not exercising or tracking calories is not conducive to managing weight.
I am categorically not going to eat my way back up to 220 again. 2017 starts here! Food logging is back on.

Glad we're all coming back. I haven't weighed myself in over 10 days but can feel the gain around my body.

Weighed myself this morning, and after a week of trying my damndest to get back on track, I weighed in at: 179.2 #
so still up about 4 lbs from my lowest, but that's better than the 9-10 lbs I was up a week ago!

Weight back down to 166.4.
24+ miles on the bike today, first time out on the road since the weekend before Xmas (and as it turns out, I think this is first time I've ever commuted to work earlier than May). I'm aiming to hit about 4K miles this year
Today was also Heavy day in the gym - my bench press is now back to the point it was at 32 years ago! I don't know whether to be happy at the improvement or appalled at the wasted time in between - probably the latter. I'm also pretty sure I'm not going to pass many of the exercises at the end of this AllPro cycle - each cycle is supposed to take 5 weeks and this is (so far) the 9th week and I'm only on week 4 of 6 (already extended due to illness at the end of the last cycle), and I'm just barely managing full rep sets of most of the exercises. Still, pleased to be back with the programme, anyway.
