I went down to 198 around last may. I was hovering around 200 until Christmas then I lost control. between losing Mom, and other stuff, I put on almost 18 lbs. . so if I can finally get back on track, you can too. (tho I've been eating really bad all week, and that will continue thru weekend for Bday celebrations).

I'm all in. Dropped 1.6 pounds from yesterday. I lifted weights this morning- not much just enough to wake my muscles up from a long sleep.

I have to buy a new scale. The one I have keeps giving me different numbers each time I step on it. The eating plan is working fine, I just hate starting over twice a year.

I have to buy a new scale. The one I have keeps giving me different numbers each time I step on it. The eating plan is working fine, I just hate starting over twice a year. Every Friday, I go to the Gym to weigh myself once a week there and I'm still at 250 pounds hoping to get down to 240 by June and the scale at the Gym is consistently accurate and I don't have a scale at home. If you have one at Gym that you workout - use that if you can and that's could save you monies in buying for home. Just a suggestion. I'm been doing this for some time and works great for me.

No problems of not having to go to the gym and you got everything at home and that's great. I have no problems with you getting a new scale ...

I was doing really well until Saturday and Sunday hit and I took my foot off the gas. I went up about 1 1/2. I will adjust during the week.

I abandoned gyms a year ago. I have all I need in my home. I so wish I had room to have a home gym, though... it's so much easier to get distracted / waylaid at home for domestic tasks, whereas you can come home having already been to the gym... Anyway, I'm finally back in the gym today, after 3+ weeks on the sidelines - 2 weeks for illness, 1+ week from procrastination - I always struggle to get (re)started in the gym, though I'm pretty good at going once I've started, whereas the bike is easy - if I want to get to work, I need to get on the bike. I had planned a gentle reintroduction - light weights/low reps last week for a couple of sessions, normal weights/low reps this week, then into it for real next week. Didn't quite work out like that: last week fell victim to procrastination (and work pressure, in fairness, though I really could have found the time if I'd tried hard enough), so into this week I re-start today with Heavy day, full weight that I was using when I stopped - what could possibly go wrong? Well, first exercise is squats - 1st warmup set (¼ weight), all is fine; 2nd warmup set (½ weight), all is fine; 1st working set (full weight), wow that's heavy! Still, managed a decent set, and was actually getting deeper than when I left off, so all is good! 2nd working set, first rep - totally got my form wrong, rounded my lower back, dropped into the squat and hurt like hell; tried a 2nd rep and managed it, but really painful, so that was it for squats. For all the other exercises, I dialled the weight down a notch, and got through them OK, but my lower back is still pretty gripey. Really annoyed at myself for (a) being so stupid, and (b) managing to frakk my form up so badly - not only did I hurt myself, but I narrowly escaped having to bail out of the squat and drop the bar on the safeties, which would have been a tad embarassing.

My reasoning is that if I can't go into my basement to lift, I certainly won't have the energy to travel to a gym. I lifted a week ago and have tweaked my back yesterday, so I'm taking it easy. But the food is the thing.

I will have my weigh in day be Tuesdays. I lost 4.8 pounds in 7 days. It might have been more if I didn't go off plan last weekend. But I'm not going make myself crazy. My back feels better and I will attempt to lift when I get home.

I've been scarfing down all the left-over easter chocolate, of which there was quite a lot. Hopefully back on plan now...

This isn't so much a dieting thing, but I seem to have developed a nasty case of lateral pelvic tilt from sleeping on my side so much. I realized that it's been the cause of a lot of my back pain the last few years so I've started working toward fixing it with some stretching exercises.
