All-Star (Water Polo) Match played today and I shared the honor of being a Co-MVP today scoring a hat trick in the 2nd half leading our team to 11 to 8 win over the other team. We all had pizza and salad afterwards and for being Co-MVP ... I got a package of $25 Starbucks Cards for winning it and we have 10 games left to go and then playoffs starts two days after Thanksgiving. Still at 248 pounds after eating our lunch at the pool. Still amazed you can get the horses into the pool.

To get horses in you need a bigger pool ... LOL. I enjoy this activity and I belong to two different leagues. It's beat ordinary exercises that I hate.

Day 3: 175.8, 72 miles. Weight is just dropping off me at the moment, but this is the easy water weight to start with Weight is weight. It means that your body is releasing the inflammation.

Well, yes but no but... the water weight that drops off will just drop back on again given an incentive (eg eating out on salt-laden food, which is pretty much all restaurant food, like last night, hence today's weigh-in being up)
Day 4: 176.6 (-1.4 overall, +0.8 on yesterday), 100.24 miles on the bike
The big difference is that the easy weight doesn't equate to calorie deficit - there's a pretty reliable rule that 3500 calories = 1 lb weight, and there's no way I was under by 7000 calories in 2 days, or over by about 3000 yesterday. Once the easy weight goes, the speed of loss will drop and I'll be back to about ½lb per week, unless I can really crank up my calorie burn, which doesn't seem likely.

I've been doing a lot of research and it seems that the food we eat can cause inflammation. That means its holding on to water because of the swelling. Almost like a allergic reaction to certain foods. There's no reason for the " water " to come back unless you eat the offending foods.

I finally got under 190 again. This last month I had two separate sets visitors to my home and capped it off with a sugar filled Halloween. I was 189.8 this morning and am continuing my journey to 180.

I woke up at 188.4 this morning. This is the first time I was at 188 in 4 weeks, and I believe my detour for the last month of visitors is over.
217.8 188.4
29.4 pounds lost since April.

On the weight front - had an (expected) fall off the wagon a bit, due to a night out on Friday with no cycling during the day. Not weighing in until tomorrow, to give it a chance to get back to normal
