Thread has admittedly gone a bit quiet since Shax took a break, and 'bone hasn't been around for a while either, but notwithstanding that, you are making terrific progress - to be still averaging over 2½lbs a week after 3 months is really good going. LOL. . I mean in real life folks haven't noticed, not in the thread, silly the support here has been amazing, and i wouldn't be able to stick to it without reading what others are doing too Well Said Bert!

Ah right, I see what you mean [blush].
What I found was that there was a certain point where people started to double-take and realise I'd lost a lot; but what really made it noticeable was being out of the office for a couple of weeks and then coming back - lots of people noticed then - I guess they have a mental picture of your size and suddenly there's a disconnect when they see you again.
Hopefully you'll start to get the double-takes after the Xmas break*
(* assuming you don't eat 19 Turkeys during that time, obviously)

I'm not expecting to set any speed records for the next several months.# Trip into work was the usual relentless headwind/crosswind combo, made even more enjoyable by sub-zero temperatures. But on the way home, a curiously small amount of traffic contributed to my 3rd best ever average speed for the trip home - pretty happy with that.

Last night, I had every intention of going to the gym this morning - was quite fired up for it after the good cycling. This morning... slept through 2 alarms, finally got up too late to go

I haven't been weighing myself for a few weeks now, but I haven't gone off the wagon either. Just been too busy with other things - i.e. my mental energy has been getting drained elsewhere - to closely monitor my weight. But I don't think I've put on any weight. With winter here, that's about the extent of my goal. If I can be around 210-215 when spring arrives, I'll be happy I think.

that happens tho. . just go to the gym tonight! Wish I could - between my work times, travelling time and my missus working shifts, evenings are rarely feasible / socially acceptable. If she ever has to do a run of nights again, I'll go then, but both of us are rather hoping that never happens.

Week 21 – 257.3 ... lost .7 pounds and with the X-Mas Holidays coming up and next week is Playoffs starting on Tuesday it will be tough for me lose weight. I will be gone from December 27th to December 30th for a quick trip to Victoria, Canada to see friends and I'm afraid that I'll go back to 260 after Christmas.

Hit a plateau a bit - oscillating around the 177 mark, with one (thankfully brief) excursion back up to 179.
Now into party & crap weather season, so cycling not happening at the moment (though I'm hoping for a last 2 or 3 outings for the year towards the end of this week). I'm not getting to the gym either: I've pretty much given up on that until I finish work on Friday for the end of year break - my plan of getting up at stupid o'clock in the morning to gym before work just isn't happening at the moment.

I'm exactly at 257 pounds today and I just had coffee with my Coach and he informed me that I was voted Rookie of the Year in Water Polo and the playoffs has concluded and we came in 3rd Place out of the field of 30 teams. I will be joining another Water Polo Team in mid-January and that league plays until mid-April with over 50 matches and that's will be competitive and therefore will hone my skills set even better. I was in the top ten in Scoring, Goals Scored, and in the top twenty in Assists. I was surprised to receive that honor this morning. I will be back next fall for my 2nd Season.
For my reward for getting the Rookie of the Year - I got a $50 Gift Certificate at Big 5 Sporting Goods Store in my area. I'm thinking about getting a new Winter Jacket with that Gift Certificate. Back to the Gym for more walks, weights, and bicycle exercise until mid-January for my next session of water polo.

Last day of work for this year, also last bike commute after a bit of a hit and miss 4 or 5 weeks - pretty good going for both legs of the trip and gives me a total of 1361 miles cycled / 91 hours in the saddle, since the end of June.
I'll keep cycling through the winter on days when the weather isn't too bad, but that's probably me done on the bike for this year. Going to try to get some momentum into the gym sessions, over the 2 week break.

Weighed myself this morning. Oh. My. God. And not in a good way. Apparently my meals for the last few days have consisted mostly of lead shot.
Get a pretty heavy cold coming on as well, so not feeling motivated to get into the gym either, which I'd planned to do this week
