Today is measurement day: Waist 33.5", down 0.5" from last month, -7.5" overall Chest 39", down 1" from last month, -5" overall Neck & hips unchanged.
In other news, at our project's end of year party I got a joint award for "biggest loser", which I'm rather hoping from context relates to weight loss, rather than... well. In fairness, the other guy had actually lost a lot more than me (70lbs to my 37lbs), but I'm happy to be recognised for it, and we've both probably lost around the same %age of our body weight. So, slightly stolen glory, but I'll take it.

Despite how crazy things have gotten (with work, personal life stuff, and Holiday commitments), I have insisted that I keep to my walk every other day. -- today might be the first day I have to skip due to throwing my back out yesterday, but I'm gonna try if I can stand up straight at all! but regardless, I've kept at it, trying to eat healthy, and doing some exercise, and although i still feel *huge* and STILL can't really see any loss in myself (all I see are fat rolls ) I am contiuing to go the right direction! 9/20: 244.8# 9/23: 244.8# 9/27: 246.2# 10/4: 244.4# 10/8: 242.6# 10/14: 241.0# 10/24: 235.2# 10/28: 232.8# 10/31: 231.6# 11/5: 228.8# 11/11: 228.6# 11/15: 225.4# 11/19: 223.2# 11/26: 220.8# 12/2: 216.8# 12/8: 215.2# 12/16: 211.6# 12/23: 208.0# -- total loss thus far 36.8 lbs!

Did you measure yourself at the start? It may not be obvious to your critical gaze, but there's no way on earth you can have shifted 15% of your body weight without there being visible changes - at my equivalent %age weight loss I'd taken 5.5 inches off my waist measurement, and I would expect you to be in a similar ball park.
I think it's a matter of perception - you're seeing the remaining poundage and seeing how far you have to go to the ideal weight you have in your head - and that's important in keeping yourself motivated. But give yourself a break and celebrate what you've done so far - you've shifted a load of weight, and continue to do so at a phenomenal pace; the change was certainly visible in those photos you posted a few weeks ago, and you're about pounds lighter since then - the change will be showing, but it's a lot easier to believe it if you're got objective measurements to prove it to yourself.

I didn't do any measurement. . tho I have worn the same pants size for the past 5 years.
so what I gained, was in "gut" over the waist.. . I think that's why I'm just not seeing it?

If you're anything like me, you were "fitting" into your trousers by having a large overhang over the waistband (and in bulk upwards fromt the waist). As I slimmed down, that all melted away until I eventually actually fitted into the trousers rather than over them, and then the trousers became looser to the point that I had to shift down sizes. But I was wearing size 36-38" waist trousers while my waist was around the 41+" mark, as (a) the overhang wasn't fitting in the trousers and (b) they were probably stretched over time as well

It is December 24th. I vow to get back on the wagon and under 200 in the new Year.

Started a new eating plan (not a diet) about a month ago, and it is paying dividends. I've been unable to work out as I'd like due to some illness and what I suspect may be a hairline fracture in my left wrist (I hurt it at the gym lifting right around Thanksgiving, and it is still giving me trouble), but I've still lost 3 pounds in the last four weeks with my limited exercise. My love handles are almost completely gone and the muscle definition I've gained is really starting to show now that a lot of the excess weight is gone.
This puts me at 220 lbs, which is a little higher than my year-end goal (which had been 217 lbs), but I'm still encouraged by the progress and will continue working to get to my ultimate weight and body goal in the new year.

OK, restart time after the minor dietary debacle of Newtonmas. I'm in at 177.0, which is perhaps better than I might have reasonably expected after 4 days of of large dinners, chocolates and trifle, and certainly better than it was looking over the weekend.

So, so, so close. .but no cigar.
trying not to be disappointed in myself that I didn't hit my 40lbs lost goal by end of year. But really did come in close (and going out to dinner last night with friends, where there was lots of fried, Pizza, and garlic toast -- at an incredible place called "Cajun Pizza" -- didn't help any).
I *DO* realize I'm still trending the correct way, but was really hoping for an even 40lbs by end of year. .so struggling not to be disappointed.
Here's where I ended the year.
9/20: 244.8# 9/23: 244.8# 9/27: 246.2# 10/4: 244.4# 10/8: 242.6# 10/14: 241.0# 10/24: 235.2# 10/28: 232.8# 10/31: 231.6# 11/5: 228.8# 11/11: 228.6# 11/15: 225.4# 11/19: 223.2# 11/26: 220.8# 12/2: 216.8# 12/8: 215.2# 12/16: 211.6# 12/23: 208.0# 12/31: 206.2# -- total loss thus far 38.6 lbs!
so if I round up, it's 39lbs.

Still a tremendous achievement Bert - not least losing most of 2 lbs over the Newtonmas break.

Pleasant (and surprising) start to the new year - weighed in today at 175.4, which is a new low, down 44.6lbs from the start.
Wishing you all a happy (and lighter!) new year - may all your goals be smashed to smithereens!

9/20: 244.8# 9/23: 244.8# 9/27: 246.2# 10/4: 244.4# 10/8: 242.6# 10/14: 241.0# 10/24: 235.2# 10/28: 232.8# 10/31: 231.6# 11/5: 228.8# 11/11: 228.6# 11/15: 225.4# 11/19: 223.2# 11/26: 220.8# 12/2: 216.8# 12/8: 215.2# 12/16: 211.6# 12/23: 208.0# 12/31: 206.2# 1/05/16: 205.2# -- total loss thus far 39.6 lbs! so I didn't quite make it before the New Year (but honestly, so what, my goal was only 25 lbs, so I beat that!). . but rounding up, I've lost, as of this morning 40 lbs (39.6). That's over 16% of my body weight (I started back in Sept. after Dragon*con at 244.8 lbs). I still don't really notice it in my face, but I actually *can* see it now in my belly. . I guess that's where all the weight came from. I went into the office yesterday, and for the first time, people actually noticed and asked me if i was losing weight..so yay, it took 40 lbs, but yay! Here's a pic from July (Volunteering at the Capitol Area Food Bank), and one from yesterday.. like I said, I can actually see a difference in my belly now.. . not so much in the face tho.
