Is the Larry Hama Wolverine run worth reading? I enjoyed it very well up to around #50. Not per say because of the events of #50 but because it did feel like it hit a low around that point. While I know what Marvel decided to do with Logan's origin story in #50 is strongly disliked by many, it didn't bother me. The post #50 issues still had "monster of the week" issues that held my attention all the way up to Age of Apocalypse. There also wasn't a whole lot of events that tied into the title besides Fatal Attractions and Phalanx Covenant, if memory serves me. That was a good highlight to me, as post #100 I only sporadically bought issues that seemed interesting to me until the end of his run. I think I have one post-Hamma issue and that's Galactus vs Wolverine.

Does anyone know how many times DC has rebooted their superhero comics since Crisis? I suspect it has to be in double digits by now. Just kind of intellectual curiosity rather than concern.

I have no idea but my impression is that both they and Marvel have done it so often in one form or another that I'm not sure what the word means any more.

So many universes... That must be so-o-o-o-o-o confusing, especially to new readers, if there are such things.

Technically, Dc Universe had only two reboots: Crisis and FlashPoint/New 52. The others were just "adjustments". I have no idea but my impression is that both they and Marvel have done it so often in one form or another that I'm not sure what the word means any more.
The Marvel universe had only one reboot, after Secret Wars. The rest are changes due to the sliding timeline and the various retcons that, well, have always existed as long as superhero comics have existed.

You might be the most knowledgable person on the forum about comics after 2010. I was thinking the same thing about Flashpoint and Nu52. But wasn't there something after nu52?

We are talking about the Periodic Table, right?

DC needed to jettison the garbage and finally set the universe on a path not cracked by the weight of goofball nonsense.

The rest are changes due to the sliding timeline and the various retcons that, well, have always existed as long as superhero comics have existed. There was no reboot after either Secret Wars mini. Some changes, mostly temporary, were made but nothing like a line-wide continuity reset (though Jim Shooter allegedly wanted one).

I *think* they may referring to the 2015 Secret Wars, which was basically Marvel's COIE in that it reduced everything to only one universe at the end (no idea if that has stuck though)

How many adjustments does it take to equal a reboot?
