I've finally started watching this, just one episode so far because it couldn't load the second one. But it is pretty good. Mainly I just want to see David Tennant in his role, and there are just brief flashes of him so far.
I always try to figure out the connections of the comic creators they thank in the credits. Stan Lee and Joe Orlando introduced the Purple Man obviously, but I can't figure out the rest. I assume they did later stories with the character but since he was barely in this episode it seemed odd to list them. There was one name I didn't recognize at all. The runaway daughter (I think) was from an Alias storyline, although that didn't have anything to do with Killgrave in the comic. I guess the other elements of that were taken from another story?

Still dipping into this once in a great while. It sure isn't as addictive as SHIELD. Miserable show about a miserable, unlikable character. Mainly I'm just watching for David Tennant.
The last episode I watched was so ridiculous. Jessica wants to go to a Supermax prison so that she can trap Killgrave, so she rips the head off a body that Killgrave murdered and takes it to the police station, hoping they will lock her up. The police chief doesn't believe her unconvincing testimony because it's ridiculous and doesn't make sense. Then Killgrave shows up.
