Not really as it would have meant pushing Black Canary back to 1941. (Although they did try something like that with one of the Holiday Specials.) Roy Thomas wanted EC's Moon Girl to replace the Golden Age Wonder Woman, but DC dropped the ball.

#15 Tex Thompson / AmericommandoAlter Ego: Harry "Tex" Thompson Zorro with an American Attitude! ... Dashing, carry a whip, and one of the coolest costumes in the Golden Age. I just loved the trim on his cape, sleek costume, and to me quite unique in terms of the two-tone leggings that he wears that supposed to be long-legged socks and blue shoes that resemble to look like sneakers. I like the red belt and most importantly very simple design and that's makes Tex Thompson ticks! And, one of the coolest nickname the "Americommando"

#14 Phantom LadyAlter Ego: Sandra Knight One of the most daring costumes of it's era. From Wikipedia: "Stories published decades later by DC Comics would give her a proper origin, which was altered several times to give Sandra a more active role. Her skimpy costume was eventually explained as a deliberate tactic to distract her usually male foes." - That's the purpose of her costume of yellow swimsuit and green cape! Special Note: She used a "black light projector," a device which allowed her to blind her enemies and make herself invisible. She drove a car whose headlights also projected black light when necessary. From Wikipedia. This is a good example of two colors done right, creates harmony, and most importantly like I quoted from Wiki - it's designed to distract male foes left and right and gives her an edge in Crime Fighting. How I find out about her?Through her involvement through Freedom Fighters - pictured above.

#13 StarmanAlter Ego: Theodore Henry Knight Special Note: Last of Fin-Type Superheroes on my list - His fin gave him character and nothing more nor less. I just loved this costume - so bold, so colorful, and yet an very attractive and sleek design. What attracts me the most it his perfect marriage of Red and Green with a touch of Yellow. Speaking of Yellow, he sports a Yellow Star on the back of his cape. That's alone makes it's truly special. You will see it in my scans below. He was a member of the Justice Society of America and the All-Star Squadron too. I found this picture of his Gravity Rod ... Cool Picture of his Weapon.

Fatman! Now THERE'S a costume! At the risk of spoling Mecha Godzilla's number one costume choice, I prefer it on the Red Tornado myself.

Sandra's cleavage must be seriously distracting, given that she wears no mask and her boyfriend fails to recognise her! And this is despite her wearing an evening gown of almost identical cut and colour as Phantom lady's costume!

#12 Hourman Alter Ego: Rex Tyler re One thing about his costume it is quite original and serve his purpose for fighting crime. I consider this design quite unique because of the layout of black, yellow, and red trim. He has a very different styled belt buckle in red and carry a hourglass around his neck. Mysterious, Colorful, and Dynamic. I also like the red trim in his boots. I also like the backside of his cape. That's was attraction that bought to my attention here. t Member of Justice Society of America and the All-Star Squadron. You just can't go wrong with the Man of the Hour. One of my favorites and respectfully at #12.

#11 HawkmanAlter Ego: Carter Hall ill Special Note: I only recognize this version as the true Hawkman in the Golden Age of Comics. Only this one - Sorry Members! Perfect blending of Red, Yellow, and Green! One of the most detailed members of the Justice Society of America and I loved the two logos one on his yellow mask in red - in shapes of a Hawk and in his chest surrounding by a red circle. I dig his boots of red and yellow and most importantly his grey wings to complete the outfit. I wished Hawkgirl was more like this! He's at Number 11!
