#18 Uncle SamAlter Ego: Too Numerous to mention You just can't beat this combination of Red, White, and Blue. Classy, Good-Looking, and Genuine! One thing that I wanted to point out that the contrast of light colored blue vest with his dark blue colored jacket makes it snap and most of all makes it even more blending in a way of colors. He's the Leader of the Freedom Fighters and one of my favorite books when I was a young kid that I've borrowed from my older brothers. Here's a nice Splash Page Below:

Has Doctor Occult ever been revived for any of the modern supernatural series like Swamp Thing or Constantine? Seems like a natural candidate, though perhaps his look really is a little too derivative of Dick Tracy. And that hypnotic amulet looks just like the one they used to try to sell you in the advertisements in 60s and 70s comics, right next to the portable submarine, the x-ray glasses, Count Dante's martial arts course, and the sea monkeys.

Gaiman used him in the Books of Magic mini-series. And then he was used in the Trenchcoat Brigade mini that was something of a follow-up.

Alan Moore used him in Swamp Thing and he's been seen numerous times since, as has already been mentioned. He even had his own one-shot from Vertigo in 1994.

#17 Mr. TerrificAlter Ego: Terry Sloane Very nicely design outfit, very clean, colorful, and most importantly it's befitting for the Man with the Thousand Talents and one thing that I liked about his outfit is the word "Fair Play" and one of the rare superheroes around with actual words on his uniform. Loved the Red and Green with a nice touch of Yellow too that found in his chest insignia of "Fair Play" and Gloves. I just loved the Yellow Gloves just as much as Aquaman's earlier on this thread. Very Defined and quite Athletic with his choice of shoes and pull down white socks. One more thing - Unique Brown Belt with 3 Belt Buckets - One more than his friend Al Pratt's Atom. I just wanted to point that out and it's reminds me how different Golden Age really is.

The tights, shoes and socks are sexy. Not so crazy about the rest of the outfit.

I love Mr. Terrific's origin. Some heroes are motivated by revenge, or guilt, or responsibility...he's gotta be the first to fight crime because he's bored!

#16 Miss AmericaAlter Ego: Joan Dale Trevor I'm sucker of a super-heroine in a skirt! I've liked the blue cape, the unique red top that she has on and most importantly she's quite complimentary to Uncle Sam when she was a member of the Freedom Fighters. One thing that stands out in her costume is her very nice belt that she has on and quite feminine in many ways and that's makes her very fashionable and along with her red and white skirt - she's elegant and quite appealing to many readers back then. You've just can't beat this combination!

Scans of Miss AmericaWas briefly a member of the Justice Society of America until 1951. Another retcon, and one I thought was a bit desperate even at the time-trying to claim that Joan, not Wonder Woman, had been the JSA's token female member in the post-Crisis universe never made much sense given that she'd never had any connection to them in the original Golden Age stories. They'd have been better off just mirroring what they did with the JLA at the same time and saying it was Black Canary.
