Etta Candy. The REAL Etta Candy, who worked with the REAL Wonder Woman. Woozy Winks is a close second. I like the Falcon, but he's a "partner" in my mind, not a side-kick. He even shared top billing! I like that distinction. Based on that I would withdraw Tonto from my sidekicks list and transfer him to the new partners list along with Dr. Watson.

Dont be forgetting the Gronkses...or Middenface, Man what an awesome series, featuring my favourite 2000AD character. Oh, Middenface McNulty, the sentimental drunk with more loyalty than sense. He's right there with Wulf for me. I was so happy when Wagner used him as the focal point to bring Johnny back. Anyone else and it would have felt wrong. On the other hand, I hates the Gronkses with all my heartses. Whaaat? You hates the Gronkses? Well sneck you!

The only sidekick I can think of that I really like is Robin (Dock Greyson, mainly, but Tim Drake too) unless you count Arthur, from the Tick. I don't know if I'd call Falcon a sidekick (I don't consider Batgirl a sidekick as she basically operated independently) but I like him, too.
BTW, I can't stand Rick Jones. An annoying, self-pitying, whiny punk, as far as I'm concerned. Sorry, folks. I didn't like Snapper Carr, but I didn't mind him, either. Until he betrayed the JLA, that is.

Don't know too many Marvel sidekicks.
Going by the 'kid whose identity wouldn't exist without the og hero' definition.
1-Stephanie Brown 2-Supergirl-specifically the Linda Danvers version, though I liked Matrix as well 3-Tim Drake before they killed his father and turned him into mini Bruce 4-Cassandra Cain

favorite sidekick would have to be Robin (Dick Grayson) followed by Aqualad (in the 60s/70s Aquaman comics)

How about Go-go Girl, aka Maggie Chascarrillo, from the story Maggie vs Maniakk in Love and Rockets #3:

Having just started reading Astro City my vote now goes to Alter Boy. He has a lot of similarities to Dick Grayson while having a more independent streak than Dick had as Robin. It's sort of like how I'd imagine Dick would be if DC did an Ultimate Universe.
