I think my top 50 list would probably be a little too "Legiony." Me, too. Cockrum's Legion stuff would fill my list, with his Star Boy costume perhaps at #1. I think Color Kid would make my Top 50.

The first version of the Wonder Girl jump suit is one of the best. Bright, fun, colorful. Although, the necklace might have been a hazard when fighting crime. However, she was a teen age girl and accessories are important! The white stars really pop and great design with them starting on the shoulder and wrapping around to her hip. While I think George Perez is great, his version of the costume is kind of boring to me. The yellow stars and the arrangement of the stars are boring. I think if the stars had been white, that version would have been more appealing.

That Green Arrow limited series was from 1983, that is very definitely not Silver Age. it's even pushing it for Bronze Age...

If you had read more closely - I worded it Golden, Silver, and Bronze Ages as an exception to the norm. I was referring specifically to the caption under the 1983 limited series cover, which reads "my favorite story of Green Arrow in the Silver Age!" Sorry, I'm a natural pedant when it comes to this stuff.

#42 Green Arrow - 2nd Version Neal Adams put enough thought into his Green Arrow redesign to account for the effect a bow string has upon the arm when it rubs against it after firing an arrow. It's for this reason that Green Arrow's gloves always looked as if they had been put on backwards to me as a kid. It was only a few years ago that I learned that the reason that it's the inside of Green Arrow's upper arm that is covered more than the back is to protect it from burns resulting from the bowstring rubbing against it over and over. Likely something only archers would appreciate, but it's testament to the research Adams undertook in designing the costume.
Though not really part of the costume, I think the biggest gamble on the outfit might be the Van Dyke beard. Though I prefer GA's original look, I have to admire Adams for going for such a radical alteration as opposed to simply tweaking things here and there.

You've made excellent points here and I did not put that into account!

#41 Red TornadoAlter Ego - John Smith / Ulthoon First Appearanceas Red Tornado:Justice League of America #64 (August 1968) Silver and Bronze Ages as Ulthoon:Mystery in Space #61 (August 1960) Silver Age Origin Costume Features that I like the mostHis Blue Cape with Yellow Trim. - For the RECORD - I hated the Red Trim on his Cape because it was too much for me to handle back then and today! I like the interior use of the color Yellow; but they did not use much of it. I like the Yellow Arrow in his android body along with his fancy cape of his. Gave it class and dignity. Pictures 1 and 2I prefer the looks of Red Tornado above - first and foremost! Picture 3I hated this look because the cape with red trim clashes with the Red and the Yellow Arrow making it dull to my eyes! Most of the time I see this look and still today - it's bother me so much! Picture 4More Modern Look and it's the look that I can accept for the modern version of the RED TORNADO, with Red as the Primary Color and the beautiful BLUE cape as a secondary color along with the Yellow Trim - makes it dynamic. If this was the look in the Silver Age of Comics - I would rate it much, much higher!

#40 VixenAlter Ego - Mari Jiwe McCabe First AppearanceAction Comics #521 (July 1981) Bronze Age Costume Features that I like the mostFierce, Modern Jungle Look, the Shadowing Effects of Black Unique Hairstyle of Mari, Cool Red Belt and Boots. Reminds me (sort of) of Marvel's Wolverine one of my favorite X-Men! Great Pictures of Vixen in Action!I like the bottom picture the best because it's from her appearance in Justice League Detroit of where Zatanna and Steel were her teammates and I liked the head-shots on the bottom right hand corner of this picture. It's shows the intensity of Vixen just perfectly!

#39 Wildcat IIAlter Ego - Yolanda Montez First AppearanceInfinity Inc.# 12 Bronze Age Costume Features that I like the mostHer Red Hair and Grey Whiskers and of course her magnificent all dark blue outfit that makes her bold as a crime-fighter that she really is. Great Pictures of Wildcat in Action! This is the main reason why I ranked her at #39 because of the three colors Dark Blue, Grey, and Red all working together in unison making her more unique than the Ted Grant's version.
