It appears that people think that Kid Flash's costume is sleek.

Must...not...say anything about...Booster Gold being too late...for Bronze Age...nngh... Yeah, I'm having a bit of a hard time accepting characters who first appeared in or after Crisis on Infinite Earths as Bronze Age.

#31 OrionAlter Ego - Orion First AppearanceNew Gods #1, (February 1971) Silver Age Costume Features that I like the mostThe Futuristic Helmet, the Bold use of Red. The Blue compliments the Outfit and one of Jack Kirby's neatest work that he did with the New Gods series in the early 70's. The Astro-Harness makes him more unique and to me it is an extension of his outfit here. That's why I ranked it at #31. Special Consideration of his costume - Note the Red Sun in the top portion of his helmet - that's the cool part of it that I really like! Great Pictures of Orion! The Helmet/Mask is a winner in my book!

Must...not...say anything about...Booster Gold being too late...for Bronze Age...nngh... Yeah, I'm having a bit of a hard time accepting characters who first appeared in or after Crisis on Infinite Earths as Bronze Age. Captain Atom first appeared in the early Silver Age and got a new costume in 1987. I generally hear the Bronze Age lasting 'till '86 or so, but it's not like these are set in stone or anything. It was written by Cary Bates, and fits in fine with other bronze age books tonally (from the little I've read.) I don't have a problem with it.

Yeah, I'm having a bit of a hard time accepting characters who first appeared in or after Crisis on Infinite Earths as Bronze Age. I think the terms Bronze Age and Silver Age are for some reason being used interchangeably simply to refer to anything published at any time since 1955. Though judging by Kid Flash and Aqualad, the Golden Age seems to have crept forward a few years, too. Confusing.

Confusing. You've nailed it! ... In the course of doing both threads the Golden Age of Comics and now the Silver & Bronze Ages of Comics - I'm extremely careful of what age that I place a character to. To me, the more and more that I've investigate it - I noticed that trend that the Golden Age is creeping forward and having said that when I say that this hero belongs a certain age - I mean it in a respectable way and I'm very careful in that. Retcon - to me is one of those terms that bothers me and I hate that term because it's confuses me in a big way and I'm not a fan of that term and I don't use it at all. That's why when I go to the next set of two characters on my list - I have to investigate it even further and that's why I'm very careful of what age that I place them on my list. The term Retcon is thrown out the door and I don't even bother connecting the two. More and more I read about Retcon - it's spins my head a billion miles a hour!

Retcons have been a common feature of comics for decades. Possibly one of the earliest was Superboy, whose appearance in 1949 completely contradicted earlier accounts of Superman's life. And then, in 1963, Stan Lee's assertion that Captain America had been frozen in 1945 which basically invalidated his late 1940s and 1950's appearances and eventually led to Roy Thomas and Steve Englehart retroactively assigning those appearances to stand-ins.

#30 AtomAlter Ego - Ray Palmer First AppearanceShowcase #34 (Oct. 1961) Silver and Bronze Ages Costume Features that I like the mostThe Atom Insignia on his Mask and Belt - Simple & Clean and a good use of Blue and Red. I also like the way they incorporate his ears to be sticking out - that's made him very unique too. Red Gloves and Blue Boots - Alternating Colors! Picture 1Favorite Atom Story from the Silver Age. Pictures 2 to 4Cool Picture of the Atom above you! ... Neat Shrinking Picture below you! From JLA - The Nail Story

That second Dr Light costume was atrocius. I have no idea why they felt they needed to change it, the black and white version was great.
