I seem to have stumbled onto a thread about my favourite comic moments. I love them all!* The Hulk, relaxed at a party? The Hulk as a clown? Ben dancing? It's all gold.* For me, the most embarrassing moment was when Sue Storm became a sex object. She used to be the only Marvel heroine who didn't need to flash the flesh. But come the 1990s she decided that she needed a boob window and had to practice her porn star poses. This phenomenon happens out of comics too. Stan Lee is a boob window magnet. Stan also flashes skin...he's not sexist...'nuff said.

Hulk doing the clown gig... -M This is not an embarrassing moment. This is one of the most awesomest panels in all comics ever!!!
The next time they compile mankind's greatest artistic achievements to shoot into space so curious aliens can see how awesome humans are (some of the time), they should include the baby speech in Hobo with a Shotgun, Jane Austen's Love and Freindship, Cartman singing Poker Face ... and this panel from Avengers #1.

You're only saying that because you're afraid Hulk will smash you or eat beans near you if you tell him his clown look was embarrassing..... -M

Does the modern Hulk eat beans? Or was that just a thing in the 1970s?
And after he feasted on some poor hobo's beans, he would chow down on a stack of Hostess Fruit Pies!

Hal Jordan vs the bar of soap Did anyone ever do a story about how much permanent/cumulative damage Hal's head must have after all the times he'd been cracked in the skull and woke up in the future or in an alien zoo?

Kal And Barda Make A Porno This should be John Byrne's most embarrassing moment. That's how I see pretty much all of these. If a character is badly written, it doesn't change how I see the character, but it definitely changes how I see the writer.

In trying to talk about character's most embarrassing moments, I've trying to find some scans from a story called "Batman, Babysitter" (or something like that). Bruce Wayne gets stuck babysitting his cousin's kid (this back in the Silver Age when Bruce Wayne seemed to have all kinds of relatives), and ends up having to take the kid with him as Batman. It features all kinds of silliness, such as Batman and Robin attempting to milk a cow in the middle of a field (exactly why the couldn' send Alfred to the store to buy milk is not clear).
If anyone can find evidence of this tale, so I know that didn't imagine it, it would be greatly appreciated.

Everyone who writes Avengers should be required to include at least one scene that's 10% as cool as this. (So far, everyone who's initials are not S. L. has failed. Spectacularly.)

And what about that great bit in the George Perez era when Thor and Moondragon met Kid Colt and Two-Gun Kid and Rawhide Kid? That's gotta be at least 11% as cool as Hulk in a clown suit juggling a horse, an elephant and a seal.
