People don't actually pay more than 50-60% of cover I hope.

I always wait for them to go on the half price table, but that's not really the point.

I don't pay full-price for these Marvel Omnis (MOKF or others) either, but I agree that's not the point. However, even if I couldn't get the MOKF/DHOKF Omnis on sale, I would have paid full-price for these. I.e., I doubt these will ever be reprinted again - and, they're well-worth the additional money. I only buy reprints these days, however, and in general I feel like I'm getting these collected editions (be they Omnis, other HC's, or TPB's) for a good price - compared to how much $ I would be paying for the respective floppies.

I agree that these are worth full price, and think they may never hit the bargain tables, but was just trying to make sure people know that pretty much everything can be pre-ordered for 40-50% off through places like DCBS and Amazon.

Guys, I'm not trying to bag on the thread. The price is not the point , but it's nice to get a bargain.

Guys, I'm not trying to bag on the thread. The price is not the point , but it's nice to get a bargain. Bargains are great. Which is why i tend to pre-order from Amazon for the Omni's or TPB that run higher in cost or i know will be difficult to find. Amazon gives the lowest price listed between the time you order and the actual shipping date so i received the MOKF 1st Omni for $77, the 2nd Omni for $81 and this 3rd Omni (quite larger with collecting all the Zeck run in one) for $87.

It's funny how the price goes up sometimes because they don't have large print runs. Sometimes you have to pay twice the price in the aftermarket.

True. And, in the case of these MOKF/DHOKF Omnis, the material may never be reprinted. Obviously, this is licensed material & I don't know what was involved with the agreement Marvel had with the copyright holder re: these reprints.

You're only hope would be to have the omnibus go to a second printing which probably won't happen. I mean , how many more people will actually buy it to justify the printing costs ?

Just got the DHOKF Omnibus #2 today - very nice. I haven't had a chance to look this over too much, but I'm very pleased with what I've seen so far. This is a great piece of 1970's b&w nostalgia! It's nice that this series can be completed in two volumes.
I clearly remember getting MOKF Omnibus #1 in the mail approximately a year ago (June 2016). And, a year later, we have 3 MOKF Omnibuses & 2 DHOKF Omnibuses, with only one MOKF Omnibus left to be reprinted (Fall 2017). Amazing.

For the moment, I ran across this listing the other day on Amazon: Master of Kung Fu Epic Collection: Weapon of the Soul
No concrete data given on which issues exactly are collected here (though it appears to be the beginning of the run). The page count is given as 480 pages. Release date is for late March 2018. Price is stated as $39.99.

I saw a listing for this a month or so ago. It contains through issue 28 as well as all 4 of the Giant-Size MOKF issues.

I just got this MOKF Omnibus #4. Wow - this is truly magnificent, and I don't say that lightly. This has the bulk of Gene Day's art on the title - superb work here. Truly gorgeous art re: these issues, and the reproduction is stellar. These stories he drew here have a noir quality to them, especially the scenes taking place @ dusk & at night. Day really creates a unique, edgy, and at times sultry atmosphere that I've never seen reproduced in any other comic I've read. It's a shame that he passed on so young & isn't around now to appreciate how good his art looks recolored & remastered in this stellar volume.
To a much lesser extent, also enjoying the non-Day issues, including the later ones with art by a young David Mazzuchelli - solid work here as well. I have never read the Bleeding Black or the Marvel Comics Presents/Wolverine issues, so it will be nice to get into those . As always with these Omnis, nice extras in the back re: pin-ups, b&w rough art, etc.
