Seems Marvel (or Disney) has solved whatever rights issues that have prevented the Master of Kung Fu run from being collected/reprinted and will collect the entire MoKF run in a series of 4 omnibi beginning in 2016, as announced at the Baltimore Diamond Retailers Summit... BC story-M

I'm sure "monibi" is a typo. Omnibuses? Omnibi? In any case, this is terrific news. I've managed to collect the first half of the series in singles and have been a rapt fan of Shax's review thread. Can't wait for this!

So the rights issues regarding Fu Manchu have been resolved, then? Apparently though nothing has been said as to how it was resolved that I have seen. Here's a pic of the slide announcing the collections from the Baltimore Retailer Summit.... -M

I'm happy for all the people who have always wanted to read this classic in full but haven't been able to do so until now. Hope Marvel does it justice with the format and colouring, etc.

I have the entire run and haven't read it through yet. It's nothing short of a miracle that it was settled and the owners of Fu Manchu gave permission. Then again, how much money is that property making these days?

It could well be the copyright on Fu Manchu simply expired. I'm skeptical that there will really be 4 Omnibuses (seems like Epic would be the more logical format), since I don't think any Marvel title ever has had 4... even stuff like X-Men and Avengers only have 2

Omnibi aren't great for casual readers.
