Just read the 40th Anniversary Special, which is absolutely wonderful. New stories for old favourites Ro-Busters, Zombo, Durham Red and Nikolai Dante, plus Dredd and Sláine, guest appearances by everyone from Judge Death to Halo Jones, some beautiful artwork...a real celebration!

Dare was alright but far from the best thing in it. I'd sooner read the likes of Dire Streets and Pinhead Nation. I never quite took to the 2000 AD era Dan Dare, it seemed different, as in 'I don't like this' sort of way! Of course I was a bit older than when I'd read some of the Eagle strips, but Dan didn't seem to improve with age. For me there was way better strips in 2000 AD... Dredd and Strontium Dog mainly. |
