A few episodes into the fourth season now. I really like the Ghost Rider, but I wish they'd given him a realistic skull rather than one that looks like a mask. Should I know who Director Mace is? I felt like it was meant to be a big reveal but I had no clue. Have we even seen him before? No, Jeffrey Mace hadn’t been seen in the show before. He is less a big reveal and more a giant Easter egg. Mace was the original Patriot from Timely Comics in the 1940s, then was retconned into having been the third Captain America. My wife and I finally took the plunge and are watching Season 7 right now, as our younger daughter finished the series before all of us despite starting it long after we or her sister did. I’m enjoying the final season more than Five or Six by a large margin.

The episodes set at different time points and formatted as if they had originally aired back then (an idea reused in the WandaVision series) were pretty cool.

Further into season 4 now, and I think I am enjoying it more than the last one. Ward and Hydra were getting tired by then.
Sorry to see that Radcliffe is (kind of) a baddie, even though he claims to mean well and doesn't want anyone hurt. I really liked him, and thought he'd be redeemed after he was freed from the Hive.
Really liking Fitz this season, especially when they revealed that his apparent obsession with Aida was actually him working on the problem.
I like how the opening logo changes with the story arc!

So now we've got Nitro and Madame Hydra. I was sorry to see the Senator Nadeem go. I remember Parminder Nagra from ER and I liked her there too. They just had to bring Ward back one more time didn't they? At least it wasn't Lincoln. But seriously that was a good twist. And the twist after that too.

I just finished season 4. WOW. I am blown away by the writing this season. How all the threads connect throughout, the callbacks to earlier seasons. The depth of emotion. I haven't been this into a show since... Matt Smith was in Doctor Who I guess?
I guess this isn't the place for philosophical discussion but it really got me thinking about how relevant perception is. If it seems 100% real to you, does it matter if it isn't? Some say we ourselves might be in the same situation. If I was Mack I'm sure I would have chosen to stay as well.
Easter Egg: Aida takes the name Ophelia in the Framework--Ophelia is the real name of Viper/Madame Hydra in the comics.
I feel like I need a breather but the epilogue of the last episode has me dying to see what's going on next...

badwolf, Season 4 was a real rip, wasn’t it? It felt like the writers finally figured out what they were doing and put together something really great. Seasons 5 and 6 are, in my estimation, good but not great. Certainly worth watching, but not up to the bar that S4 set. My wife and I just watched S7 E10 last night, so we have four more to go until the end. This season is close to S4 in terms of quality, as the writers appear to be having a lot of fun with what they were crafting. Going to be weird once we finish, but at least there are two more episodes of Hawkeye, and then S2 of The Witcher drops this Friday, so I’ll have something to keep me occupied around the holidays.
