I agree that Don Heck was never really suited to superhero stories and it's too bad so much of his career happened to coincide with the rise of super hero genre to such predominance in American comics. I like this image from a story in Chamber of Darkness #2 (haven't read the issue so no idea if the rest of the story is as good as this excellent splash page). Regarding the Black Widow, I like the black body-suit that's become her trademark but have always thought the wrist-bands were too big and clunky looking. And I hate the way they seem to always have that front zipper (which wasn't even there originally) undone. I like a bit (OK, a lot) of cleavage as much as the next person, and I wouldn't mind if it was just when she was relaxing around the Avengers mansion or whatever but it just looks stupid when she's on a mission or in a combat situation. I only knew Alpha Flight from their appearances in X-Men but I do like the Vindicator costume. However, the extensive use of white doesn't look good if the background is white or some shade thereof as well - a problem with some of the other AF costumes as well.

#16 DarkhawkAlter Ego - Christopher "Chris" Powell First AppearanceDarkhawk #1 (Mar. 1991) Bronze Age of Comics Costume Features that I like the mostKinda of remind me of a Power Ranger in a weird sense of a way; loved the gorgeous shade of blue along with the Silver Metallic Trim. He is ultra-sleek, defined, crisp, and above all one of the coolest superheroes when I returned after a long hiatus of reading comics. In 2002, I just gobble up all the Darkhawk Comics that I can get and I've just loved the way they designed him. One of my favorites and I just don't know about you guys but Darkhawk is so freaking cool. Four Fantastic Photos of DarkhawkThis photo shows how much detail that they put in it. Loved the Wings ... I dig the Purple here!

Problem with Angel from my Perspective Part 2 of 2I read a lot of X-Men back in my youth, and sad thing to say to all of you here - I have to say that the stories, the concept, the creativity that Marvel Comics put forth into the Original X-Men and Angel here; that I'm not a fan of these costumes because it's too generic looking and too much of a team concept of X-Men. I loved, Cyclops, Marvel Girl, The Beast, The Angel, and Iceman too. But, after awhile - I got tired of looking at these costumes and therefore no mutant/hero ever had a identity based on it's costumes alike and that's why I always liked the later versions of X-Men when they had Wolverine, Colossus, and others - that I liked so well. Sad, to say this ... the only two costumes that I'm familiar with Warren Kenneth Worthington III, is these two below. And, that's my honest evaluation of the problems of Angel in Marvel Comics and my exposure to.
There was one X-Man who made the classic training uniform and its variants look awesome.
I actually wish Magik had kept that kind of costume instead of whatever the heck it is she's worn since Bendis started writing X-Men

Lorna Dance/Polaris: A very sexy character even with that green hair! The headpiece/tiara is unique and gives it a royal/gladiator type look. Her original costume was very feminine with the draped sleeves and the criss cross sandles/boots. I liked her relationship with Havok. They seemed almost too cool for the X-Men. Not that the X-Men were nerdy or anything, they just seemed like they would be more content doing their own thing. One of my very favorite characters!

Dear All,
I've uploaded the 50 pictures of the best Marvel Costumes and before I reveal Number 10 to Number 1 - I will share the 40 pictures in a review so that you can all see them again. Then, I will leave these photos up for the rest of the year and then delete them from my Imgur Account.
I've might figure out a way to keep both - but, I'm not a fan of Imgur but it will do the trick and it will take me some time to get used to it.

I've never heard of Darkhawk, but he does have a cool costume. I like Polaris as well, especially the green hair.
