I've been loving this season since it came back from the break, especially these last couple of episodes (612 and 613). Real edge of your seat stuff. Yep Last nights episode was really slow for the first 40-45 minutes but then there was death left and right lol. I think it's obvious that they're setting up Negan's introduction for the final episode of the season. Then, hopefully Glenn gets "introduced" to Lucille.

I think it's obvious they had zero budget for that latest episode, but... they handled it indeed well.

It's kind of fitting that Negan finally showed up on the opening day of baseball season.

What a lame, cop out ending.

Morgan's pacifist way is not going to last It didn't. For me, Glenn is an annoying character with no redeeming features, so I reckon he needs a whack on the head sooner rather than later… which would of course leave the lovely Maggie free for me! I hear you. I want to know who keeps mowing everyone's lawns. That's the biggest issue with the series, for me. Not the lawns per se, I get that's just a sarcastic example, but the landscape in general. When it comes to post-apocalyptic stories, The Road set the bar really high. What a lame, cop out ending. They call it a cliffhanger.

The audio for the full 11 minute scene with Negan leaked almost a week before last nights episode. I'm supposed to believe they can keep this under wraps until October? Negan doesn't appear nearly as threatening IMO without showing the act. This guy is supposed to make the Governor look like a cupcake in comparison. They had the chance to show the most shocking event that has transpired in the series to this date and they totally screwed it up with a lame ass cliffhanger.

Not only them, we're talking widespread epidemic since Lost hit the scene, at least. AMC started with good series that didn't need gimmicks, then ended season 3 of Breaking Bad the way they did. It was a god ending then and there, now… not so much. As for keeping it a secret, maybe they don't need to. They have some time on their hands, to learn what the fans' preferences are, and act accordingly. I'm betting we'll get to see the scene from the opposite angle, otherwise it would be a waste, as you state.

I don't get the hate for the cliffhanger as that is a very common element of TV shows. It just comes with the medium, i guess. What I take issue with is the glaring plot-incuded stupidity and dreadful writing of the last two episodes. The writers have the characters change too much between ruthless effective warriors and dundering idiots as the plot requires, and it's SO obvious. These last two episodes were really poorly done IMO until the Negan scene which I think worked, even if how they got there was ridiculous.

Yes, it begs the question, if they're so good, and Daryl is pretty much the ultimate survivalist, how come the enemy played them all for fools that way? Sheer numbers aren't a reasonable answer, unless the woods where just crawling with the bad guys. Furthermore, how the hell where they all waiting for them? There's just no way the could've anticipated, or forced, their every move (although the latter seems to be implied).

Yeah, they couldn't have known the exact point they would disembark from the RV and have their entire group waiting for them at the exact moment without making some kind of noise. The whole episode was a series of improbably conveniences. Really weak.

Well, damn. This season's off to a gruesome start. I can't say they disappointed with the resolution of that cliffhanger.

Great episode, my hunches were right.
If I had a pair...suck my nuts would be my motto of the week.
It's on again in about an hour so I'll be taking it in again.
