I'm playing with the idea of starting a Luke Cage Hero for Hire run. ( Sweet Christmas!)
Also, I plan to fill out my Thor collection further.

I intend to work more on my AMS Conway run (and probably just AMS in general) and get that completed (the Conway portion, not all of AMS) I also want to work on collecting more issues for the sub-Mariner 1968 series. I will probably get other silver and bronze age books as they pop up, and I can find a good deal on them.

My Goals for 2016: -Continue to grab Iron Man books I need when I can for a good deal... I did really well in 2015, getting over 40 of the 100 or so I needed... if I can do that again I'll probably just need 55 and 128 (already got #1) - Continue to catch up on the 'to read' piles... I made some decent progress in 2015, but there's still a pile. NEW! - Get more late silver age DC... mostly Superman and Batman titles, which I don't really have much of. NEW! - Marvel Western titles... not sure which, yet 1/8 Update: Grabbed 2 Iron Man books... 59 and 73. Once I make sure I haven't already got the couple I need, I should be able to finish from 56 up (-128) in pretty short order... unless I get to involve in getting other stuff Instead of Marvel Westerns, I grabbed some Batlash... and was very amused. Definitely going to try to get the other May Update: Completed Bat Lash, which was very amusing...glad I went for it. I'm making some good backlog progress, mostly not buying anything until I do that. Got a small Detective Comics run, which I really liked.. hoping to get more when I go back to hunting!

Improve upon the weakest area in my collection - Golden Age books. Although realistically, that might translate to maybe 15-20 books for the year considering what those mofos cost.
Plug a few key holes - Amazing Spider-Man #129 for example.
To generally buy smarter.

Last year, I made the goal to focus more on reading what I already own over buying too much more, and I plan to stick to that.
1. Buy no more than 200 back issues. Maybe finish my Batman #100 and up run and my Avengers #85-300 run. Possibly assemble a Micronauts run. Buy more books for my Doug Moench reviews. (roughly 200 issues purchased as of May 18)
2. Read at least 300 unread books in my collection (currently at 185 as of May 10)
3. Re-read at least 100 books in my collection (completed)
4. Do at least 12 Batman reviews (1 down as of May 10)
5. Do at least 12 Superman reviews (10 down as of June 10)
6. Do at least 6 THUNDER agents reviews (4 down as of May 10)
7. Do at least 6 Nick Fury reviews (2 down as of May 10)
8. Review the remaining Warren stories, and then review every b/w magazine Doug Moench wrote for Marvel. (18 Warren stories left as of May 10)
9. Start the Post-Crisis Justice League thread and get in at least 12 reviews (completed)

The one issue I'm eyeballing the most. Hardly likely I'll ever own a complete collection of Batman, but I am trying to get all the Joker issues. Which is a tall order by itself...maybe the joke will be on me

After seeing what was mentioned in the Twelve Days thread, I want to read some Jim Woodring and some Moscoso.
I also intend to re-read Cerebus from the begining and what I haven't re-read of Finder in the past few weeks.
It would be nice to get to SSoC #200 in my review thread, too.
...and even if it's not yet a classic, I will definitely publish the second book of Le Bras d'Orion in March!!!

I want to finish my Komplete Kamandi run. I'm only missing four issues. (I might as well include the Kamandi issue of The Brave and the Bold I don't have. And the Kamandi issue of DC Comics Presents. So make that six issues.)

Not much this year in terms of new buying (volume-wise, although cost-wise it will be pretty intensive). Looking to pick up the following books specifically:
1. Captain America #118 - I already have this issue, but it is beat up (we're talking maybe 2.0), and I'd just like to have a nicer copy in my collection
2. Ghost Rider #2 - this will complete the series - accomplished 1/2/2016 3. Conan the Barbarian #'s 15 and 21 - this will complete my run from #15 to #115
4. Fantastic Four #112 - stupid expensive Thing vs Hulk issue. Only one I need to complete #110 to #611 - accomplished 1/2/2016 5. Howard the Duck #'s 1, 13, and 33 - these will complete the series 6. Star Wars #'s 42, 68, and 81 - these will complete the series (I may just pick up the second Omnibus, which is cheaper than buying 42 and 68 in floppy form - darn Boba Fett appearances) 7. Possibly Werewolf by Night #'s 1 and 2 - I've given up my previous goal of getting a #32, only because I don't value it nearly as much as the current market rate and I have a reprint of it already, so I have the story to read.
Other books I will pick up if I run across them (but not really actively search for) are some missing issues of Frankenstein, Godzilla, Red Wolf, and Skull the Slayer, as well as some of the Giant-Size books that I don't have. I also will buy reasonably-priced lower-number issues of Amazing Spider-Man, Daredevil, Incredible Hulk, and Iron Man if I find them (although I have a lot of the DD and IM issues in Masterworks format already). Might also buy some John Carter issues if I can get them for a $1 or two, although the Omnibus can be picked up pretty inexpensively and that might save me time, effort, and cost to get the complete run.
I also intend to pick up the 2nd and 3rd Fantastic Four Omnibus editions, which will just leave a gap in my collection from #94 to #109 to close (although I have a couple of random issues in that gap already).

Goals for this year will be as follows:
1) Catch up on reading. Waaaay behind still. This feels like it will forever be a goal lol. 2) Purchase ASM #50. This is the year! 3) Purchase one of Marvel Spotlight #5, Hulk Annual #1 (Steranko cover) or Tomb of Dracula 10 4) More ASM issues between #60-90. Time to complete this stretch. 5) A toy biz toy! Preferably the Scorpion figure (one of my favs from the animated 90s series)

Read ALOT of books on my read pile dating back years. Need 30 more Amazing Spiderman issues to have the whole run. I would like to bring that number down to 15...I would be happy to make it 20 if I can...#101, 121 and 129 are the only issues above #100 I need. Birds of Prey Vol.1 #8...why are you always out of my reach? Only need 4 more issues of Suicide Squad to have whole run...#23,48,49 and 57. Only need 3 more issues of Sandman Mystery Theatre to have whole run. Only need 2 more issues of Young Justice to have whole run. Only need 5 more issues of Excalibur to have whole run. And 2 more issues of Peter David's Supergirl for whole run. The last 4 on my list I can definitely accomplish...the others...we will see.
