Fascinating how standards of beauty change. I always thought the square faced Wonder Woman was just a stylised thing, useful for small images. But it's right there in the gigantic picture too. I like it. EDIT: also I note that her femininity comes from an hourglass figure that is almost X shaped, the opposite of today focus on T and A. Yet to me it's more feminine, as I don't find the modern fashion attractive at all (maybe that just shows my age). This is a Wonder Woman who looks strong and real. To me, modern superhero women look like desperate plasticised man pleasers. |
