That first picture actually depicts the Skrull who replaced Alicia at some point during Byrne's run (although Byrne didn't intend that to be the case). It was the Skrull that married Johnny. (And how frustrating it must've been to pretend to be blind 24/7.)
Cei-U! I summon one of the big reasons I stopped buying comics in the late '80s!

I love Ace the Bathound! My favorite Alfred is Alan Napier from the 60s tv show. Also liked the golden age version who went about solving mysteries.

Fat Alfred is the only true Alfred! Did SKINNY Alfred ever have his own strip where he solved crimes? I THINK NOT! Actually, he did...

I did not know that ... could you find some examples of that and post them here if you can? I have this one, Batman #22 which introduces "The Adventures of Alfred." It was a recurring feature in the title for a while.

Much of the Adventures of Alfred series was reprinted in The Batman Family, one issue of which teamed the impeccable gentlemens' gentlemen with Commissioner Gordon in an all-new story. Alfred was also the focus of a "Just-A-Minute Mystery" filler in Batman #347.
Cei-U! Wants to see Alfred, Jarvis, Cadbury and Lurch in a buttle-off!

Alicia Reiss Masters - Supporting Character for Thing/Fantastic Four Alicia Masters is definitely one of my favourite Marvel Silver Age supporting characters. The fact that she's blind and a sensitive, arty type, makes her pretty interesting and her relationship with the Thing is one of my favourite elements of the Kirby/Lee era Fantastic Four. Actually, now that I think about it, I kinda like her more than some of the members of the Fantastic Four!

Alicia Reiss Masters - Supporting Character for Thing/Fantastic FourFirst appearance: The Fantastic Four #8 (Nov 1962) Oh I just love Alicia! You've showcased some of my favorite pics of her, Mecha--great job! And I concur with Confessor--I've always liked her better than some of the FF team members.

I've mentioned this before but since it's appropriate here...
Though I'm not a fan of Frank Miller's interpretation of Batman, there is one thing he did which I thought was absolutely inspired - he established that Alfred had been part of the Wayne family since Bruce was a child. Though his sarcastic wit may be his most defining and endearing trait today, it wouldn't have suited Alfred prior to Batman: Year One. An Alfred who appeared upon the scene once Bruce Wayne was well into adulthood couldn't really make sarcastic remarks about his employer's habits without coming across as overstepping his boundaries as a Gentleman's Gentleman, but an Alfred who was more a member of the family than retainer could. It's not a feature I always enjoy - having Alfred act as a substitute for the better sense or even conscience Batman should have, undermines Batman as a character, but when done well it's great.
And since MechaGodzilla's brought up the subject of on-screen Alfreds, I have to mention William Austin who is the reason Alfred is no longer a short, balding, clean shaven, fat guy.
I can see why Austin's look was adopted for the series since he's quite enjoyable in the first Batman serial. Very comedic, gullible, and even sometimes the brunt of Bruce and Dick's jokes, he gives a performance that is extremely likable.

Mr. Belvedere would lose, but would say something wittily incisive about all of them. Robin Masters from "Magnum P.I." would have been unable to attend, due to the distance, but would have blamed Magnum, and possibly Rick. Smithers of the Lodge Estate would have planned to go, but would be unfortunately drawn into an unfortunate, yet hilarious, incident involving Archie, Reggie, Jughead, Gaston's lemon meringue, and yet another Ming vase placed on a high shelf in a vain effort to protect it from Archie.

Aunt May - Supporting Character for Spider-ManFirst appearance: Amazing Fantasy #15 (August 1962) To me, one of the most beloved, sincere, caring Aunt in the history of Comics. That's Aunt May from Spider-Man! Enough Said! From Wikipedia In the main universe continuum, Aunt May is aunt-by-marriage and adoptive mother of Peter Parker, who leads a secret life as Spider-Man. She is nurturing and supportive of Peter, although throughout most of Spider-Man's history, she has not known of his secret life and considers Spider-Man frightening. In my eyes, that's why I consider Spider-Man is the most difficult superhero to understand and having said that I find the relationship of Peter Parker and Aunt May one of the best relationship and most enduring of them all. Aunt May is a special kind of character that's can be described in many ways and after the death of Uncle Ben - She was everything to Peter Parker and that's why I just loved this character so much! From Wikipedia In the early years of his superhero career, Peter feared for May's well-being and the fatal shock that he believed would result if she ever learned about his dual identity as Spider-Man. Consequently, Peter often anguished over dealing with major crises while his aunt needed nearly constant care. This conflict took on an unusual turn when Aunt May became sweethearts with his enemy, Otto Octavius (also known as Doctor Octopus), and Peter struggled to deal with his enemy's schemes while not hurting his aunt. This is why Peter Parker has so much responsibilities and the constant struggles that he had to endure dealing with his Aunt. I could write volumes after volumes about it - but you all know the story well and that's make this relationship truly unique. My Favorite Pictures of Aunt MayThe picture below says it all - Nuturing, Loving, Taking Care of Peter Parker, Holding Hands, Communicating, and most of all - A sense of warmth that a good Aunt should be. I just love Aunt May! ... Loved the Smiles on their faces! The Greatest Supporting Character of Spider-Man History!
