Supergirl - Supporting Character of Superman / Clark Kent
First Appearance: As Super-Girl: Superman #123 (August 1958)
First Appearance: As Supergirl: Action Comics #252 (May 1959)
I'm going to start off exploring three actresses that portrayed Supergirl first and leave the others for later on.
Helen Slater as Supergirl 1984
Everything about this movie was good and the only thing that let it down was the script and the corny dialogue between the supporting characters on this movie and I though Helen Slater did a very good job getting her role down to science and her costume was spot on and the problem is that I did not care for Brenda Vaccaro's performance and the limited minutes given to Peter O'Toole of which I wanted to see more of. Faye Dunaway was too overpowering and I have mixed feelings about this movie. I watch it from time to time - but lately I seem to careless about it.
Laura Vandervoort in Smallville
More that I think about her performance on Smallville and having said that I find her costume so incomplete and it's not funny to me at all and come to realize how the Smallville's producers handled her is somewhat a farce because of the licensed properties of the S Shield of which they felt at the end of the program that Tom should be the first one to wear it. I becoming more and more distant of this show as time move on and having said that I simply have my own reasons for my distaste of this character itself. Pretty soon her performance might be non-existence to me.
Melissa Benoist- Current Supergirl Show on CBS
Best Supergirl that I know of and I'm becoming a fan of this show for all the right reasons and I like her costume despite having very little yellow. One aspect of the costume that I do like is her red pantyhose that she wears and that's gave it class by itself and most importantly she is youthful, smart, and has all the mannerisms down to science in her own unique way. I hope that this show gets better and hopefully she will get more of audience and the problem is that Monday Night Raw - WWE is on the same time. She is getting my respect and I hope that she gets better with experience.

I just loved the Evening Look of this sensational blue gown and red gloves!
