I have no clue about DC from the '90s onwards, but in the Silver/Bronze Ages, I don't believe he was ever in any of the science-fiction series like Strange Adventures or Mystery in Space(although he met characters like Adam Strange, the Atomic Knights, and the 'Forgotten Heroes', in DCCP). He also met both Omac and Kamandi in DCCP, having never met, or heard of, either character prior to that.) While not appearing in Kamandi per se, the idea of Superman and his prescience was still used in the book...so still a marketing tool -M Superman did appear physically in the later reboot, Kamandi at Earth's End.

Additionally, is there any comic company that Hasn't used him in a crossover? Yes, most of them-including almost every comic company not actually based in the USA. Although he did appear in this British charity publication produced by 2000 AD publishers Fleetway in 1991.

It has me wondering if there's any DC comic that he hasn't appeared either inside or on the cover of. Additionally, is there any comic company that Hasn't used him in a crossover? As for companies that have done cross-over books but haven't done one with Superman-I don't think Archie has used Superman-The Punisher, Kiss, Predator, sure Superman, not that I am aware of. I don't think Image has either-Batman crossed-over with Spawn, and Supes has appeared with the Wildstorm characters like Gen 13 after Jim Lee sold Wildstorm to DC, but I don' think Supes has appeared in an Image comic per se. Dark Horse has on several occasions. Newer publishers like IDW, BOOM! and the like haven't used Superman, but haven't done much in the way of cross-overs (though IDW did partner with DC to do Rocketeer/Spirit cross-overs), and none of the publishers active in the 70s & 80s but now defunct ever used Superman in a cross-over that I am aware of (I think only Marvel had any cross-over interaction with DC in that time unless they were producing magazines about comics as well as comics and had articles about Superman (such as Amazing Heroes produced by Fantagraphics). So I would say there are far fewer publishers that have had cross-overs with Superman than those that have not had a Superman appearance in their pages. -M

There were 2 crossovers. One by Image and one by DC.

I looked up Archie comics and found this title from 1944. Is this Superman cleverly disguised to fight crime in Riverdale?

According to the CGD, he appeared in New Teen Titans # 23. He did indeed. Starfire had been kidnapped by her evil sister. The NTT enlist Superman to help them, but he had lost his powers (or they weren't working correctly) and he hooks them up with the Omega Men.

He definitely never showed up in Tomahawk! That would heve ruined the historical authenticity that title was well known for. He never showed up in the Robby Reed series in HOM, did he? Cause I know he never popped up in J'onn J'onzz's time there. He showed up in Wonder Woman 130, though he was not even mentioned on the cover. Who needs him when Mister Genie and Wonder Tot are doing the heavy lifting? Story reprinted in WW 211 (where he is shown on the cover) and he is again on the cover in 212 when I think the so-called trials of Wonder Woman begin so that she can regain her spot in the JLA. The story that Superman appears in (issue 130) is a fun, silly one. He appears in the final panel, going on a date with Diana, much to Steve's chagrin!

Wasn't aware of the Savage Dragon x-overs, but then I tend to ignore almost everything Larsen does, so no surprise there.

I tried a lot of his early stuff and enjoyed none of it, so his stuff went on my ignore list. I don't like his art and thought his early writing was atrocious. He may have gotten better, and I know people like it, but it's not for me. -M

Superman never appeared in Rex The Wonder Dog's comic but Rex made a surprise appearance in an issue of Krypto
I can't see the image, and I didn't know it existed until 30 seconds ago, but I am pretty sure that is the greatest comic ever written. I certainly have't read full runs of any of these, so how 'bout... - House of Mystery
- Secrets
- My Greatest Adventure
- Any of the Horror Titles launched in the '70s
- Any of the Big Five War Books
- Mr. District Attourney (I have never read an issue but the covers look *in* *sane!*)
- Sugar and Spike (I think this one might have happened?)
- Blackhawk
- Secret Hearts/Girls Romances/A Date With Judy

Was "Roy Raymond, TV Detective" always set in Metropolis? AFAIK, Superman never appeared in his (or anyone's) feature in DETECTIVE COMICS...but in the '70s, Cary Bates established that Raymond did his 'Impossible But True' TV show at WGBS, and appeared in a Superman story at some point. Going back to DETECTIVE, that book had guys like Captain Compass, Mysto, and Pow Wow Smith, along with the 'original'Slam Bradley(who, despite being another Siegel-Shuster character, never met the Big Guy).
