Spectre (Ostrander series, maybe 20 or so) I'm now just one issue away from completing this series - the elusive #54. One of the most striking things about this series is the "wide screen" destruction the Spectre causes in his pursuit of justice - maybe once I have a complete collection I'll start a thread sharing the mayhem - call it "Spectre destroys the 1990's" maybe? I thought Rob Liefield destroyed the 1990s.

I guess I should start hunting for these.. it seems like DC has pulled the plug on the trades... I was really hoping they'd do the whole series.

I am going to try for complete runs of Reggie and Me (and Archie's Rival Reggie) and Josie (which eventually became Josie and the Pussycats).

Old comics from my childhood days I'm trying to complete but not really to complete. I don't need every issue though
Power Pack Alpha Flight Alf NOW Comics Ghostbusters. Nightstalkers is easier to complete since it was a short series during my teen years

Having completed several series over the last couple of years (Conan the Barbarian, Marvel's Tarzan, DC's Tarzan, DC's Korak, Dark Horse's Tarzan, Kirby's Demon, Heavy Metal from '77-82, the First Comics Elric minis, Jon Sable, Grell's Green Arrow, Nexus, etc.) a handful of series are moving up on my depth chart to work on completing.
Right now my top 10 to finish are
American Flagg! (need 7 issues) (update need 1 issue) Atari Force (need 2 issues) Cheval Noir (need 21 issues)
Chronicles of Corum (1 issue needed) completed! Dark Horse Presents (1st series)(just started on this one, 93 issues to go) Epic Illustrated (4 issues to go) Kamandi (5 issues to go) Omega Men (1 issue and 1 annual to go; I have the one key I am just missing a random issue near the end of the run and an annual) Rom (4 issues + 2 annuals to go) Sandman Mystery Theatre (need 7 issues all between #61 and 70))
and after watching the episode of Kirkman's Secret History of Comics on the Milestone line, I am slowly picking up some of the tuff form those series as I find it in bargain bins here and there.
My want list is a lot broader than those 10, but they are the ones I am focused on currently (and with Gem City Con coming up in 2 weeks I hope to knock off some of those).

From my original post 3.5 years ago:
Black Goliath - #1 and #5 - completed
Doc Savage (Marvel) - #1 - completed
Further Adventures of Indiana Jones - #16, 18, 24, 30, and 33 - completed
Ghost Rider (1970's) - #1, 2, 4 and #5 - completed Jungle Action - #1 - 5, and #8 - have picked up #5 & 8 (thank goodness, as the are off-the-charts expensive with the BP movie); still no 1-4 Supernatural Thrillers - #1 - 5 -I have picked up #2 & 5, but this is low priority for me Werewolf by Night - #1 - 4, and #32 (so freaking expensive) - have picked up #2 - 4; #1 is low priority, and I have given up on #32
Iron Man - just need #43 and #48 in floppy format - completed, and I have gotten most of the ToS stories in TPB format
Thor - #126 - 140 and #153 - 172 (as much in collected editions as possible) - completed
My current goals are: Daredevil - just need #65 & 69 to complete the entire first two series Flash - just need #92 to complete the post-Crisis series

Werewolf by Night - #1 - 4, and #32 (so freaking expensive) - have picked up #2 - 4; #1 is low priority, and I have given up on #32It's so disappointing how expensive these "first appearance of" issues have become the last few years. I thought it was bad before, but it's totally ridiculous now. I bit the bullet and paid way above my usual limit for WbN #32 a few years ago - I believe it was between $20 and $30, which seemed outrageous to me at the time, and still does. Luckily, I still had my old copy of #33, the 2nd part of that story introducing Moon Knight. I've given up on ever acquiring a copy of Tomb of Dracula #10, or whatever the issue with Blade's first appearance is - the only one I'm missing from that series. Also the first Vision in Avengers #57, I think it is.

I got my ToD #10 years ago for maybe $10, but I never was into WBN and by the time I started collecting the series, #32 was well over $100 already. I do have a reprint of the story in the back of a later Moon Knight issue, but it's a book that I just can't justify buying at the prices people want for it, even for a reader copy. I don't own a lot of Silver Age keys either, and as time goes by, I have contented myself with collected editions containing them. I can still enjoy the story, but for the most part, I have no interest in or ability to drop a few hundred dollars on a single floppie at this point in my life.

Bump: I know Icctrombone has been slowly working away on his classic Thor collection. I finished up my searches for complete ROM and Tarzan from Marvel last year. I am currently working towards finishing up my DC Unknown Soldier run and the $1 issues for Our Army at War with the main/lead being Haunted Tank. What are the rest of you CCF members digging through back issues for completion of?

Technically, the only one that I am trying to complete (in a combination of floppies and collected editions) is Iron Man, as I recently discovered that I do not have a copy of issue #39 after erroneously believing I owned it. That is the only one that I need, although judging by the stories around it in the series, I'm probably not missing too much.
Other than that, I have no plans to complete any other series, although if I am able to score the copy of Werewolf by Night #32 that my LCS owner is currently pressing and grading, I may try to get #1 to have the full run. Other than that, I will be buying precious little going forward, particularly in the area of floppies.
