How often do normal people accidently blow things up ?
I'm sure it happens, but pretty rarely.
IF the mutants were the same level as what we've seen in the movies and comics, wouldn't it make sense to have a watchdog agency and training / schooling ?

We had discounted the accident by giving them perfect control of their powers. |

I think it's clear what we have here... you guys (Slam, Foxley, and a few others) don't believe the government can regulate anything without turning into a fascist dictatorship. I get that. I have just a small bit more faith in things that that (though I'll grant its fading fast).
I think there can be a happy medium between doing nothing and hoping it all works out and police state.

No. Not really. The original question posed was whether I was in favour of registering and monitoring a specific subset of humanity. So far I have not seen a good argument presented for it. So don't go putting words into my mouth. And if Doctor Strange can cast a spell to destroy all the vampires in the world, why not a spell to give all mutants total control of their powers? |
