This week, let's look at comics that are ADAPTATIONS
Movies, TV shows, books, toys - comics have always looked to other media for source material for stories or characters. Show us your favorites.
RULES -
-Post one, and only one, classic cover that fits the theme of the contest.
-Cover must be from a published comic book or collected volume published before Jan. 1, 2006.
-Covers must be posted before voting begins.
-Voting is on Tuesday, May 31th, beginning at 12:01am PST and ending at 11:59am PST
-Vote by posting the name of the poster whose cover best fits the theme or that you simply like the most.
-Put the name in bold, please.
-The winner of the contest is the entrant with the most votes after the voting period ends.
-The winner chooses the theme for the next week's contest.
-If you don't think the cover fits the theme, don't vote for it; don't post disparaging remarks about it.
-If a cover is more recent than the Classic time frame, kindly point it out and the poster can choose an alternate before voting begins.

And I'll start things off with a sentimental favorite Yeah, focusing on Ophelia is an odd choice. But this was my introduction to my all-time favorite play of all time, so I'm willing to cut it some slack.

I don't see how that one could be offensive with anyone, especially considering so many superhero covers posed on the boards, but here you go : is this ok here?

Great topic!!! I've been wanting to post this Matt Baker beauty for some time. I believe this cover, and the interior art, are his only work for Classic Comics/Classics Illustrated. 1946 . And yes, the same cover used for the reprint series, in 1948.
