Somewhat intrigued by this cover, as I have no idea what it's an adaptation of (sounds like an advert for soup, which seems unlikely) or why Archie and his friends seem to be singing total gibberish... |

Soupy Sales was an American television show in the 60s adn the Mouse was a musical number/dance the show was known for seen here...after the Parliament joke just for you tingramretro... -M |

That may be one of the unfunniest things I've ever seen. And I didn't understand the punchline of the chicken joke.  |

I don't see how that one could be offensive with anyone, especially considering so many superhero covers posed on the boards, but here you go : is this ok here? Seems perfectly ok to me using the spoilers system. Yes, but obviously, I was asking if I can take tose away and feature the cover image? |

Then give that person a 30 minute lunchtime children's show in NYC...with 10 minutes of material. A lot more miss than hit but the adults who went home for lunch got hooked. Don't ask me why.  |

I thought this would pop up! Good choice, Phil! What's interesting is that this wasn't really a DC comic--they picked up and repackaged an English adaptation. Yep, part of the British Classics Illustrated series. There were a dozen or so stories in the British editions which were never published in the American editions, but I think this was the only one reprinted by a different publisher for an entirely different title. |
