Soupy Sales was an American television show in the 60s adn the Mouse was a musical number/dance the show was known for seen here...after the Parliament joke just for you tingramretro... -M Humour is sometimes a curiously culturally specific thing, which clearly doesn't always travel well. That may be one of the unfunniest things I've ever seen. And I didn't understand the punchline of the chicken joke. Don't feel bad, Soupy Sales was never funny.

I almost went with Micronauts. Great pick, beautiful Golden cover.

I thought I'd come across just about very oddball Archie book, but this was a new one on me. (Such are the joys of this contest. ) GCD says there was only a single issue of this title (probably justified if that video clip was typical of the level of 'humour' of Mr Sales, and it carried over to the comic). GCD doesn't list who the cover artist is, but I can't wondering if Soupy was drawn by a different artist to Archie, Betty and Veronica, who appear to be in the standard Archie house style.

I don't see how that one could be offensive with anyone, especially considering so many superhero covers posed on the boards, but here you go : is this ok here? I don't see anything wrong with this cover. Place a small line between her butt checks and you have the standard Female costume.

His program was post-modern, deconstructionist and meta- before anyone had even thought of those concepts. And, oh, also funny.

I think it best to keep the spoilers to be safe. Ah yeah, let us all be safe from the tastefull Frazetta painting of a woman's naked back, hahaha ... I'll chose something else then, it's no use featuring a picture here hidden by spoiler tags. It's a little counter-intuitive, posting a cover for consideration then hiding it from view. But I doubt that spoiler tags would change anybody's mind about the cover. As far as I know, nobody here complained about that Petit Mort cover I used a while back, and that had nudity and sex. I think it's less to protect us from bare butts, and more of a 'not safe for work' thing. We don't want somebody behind us noticing a Frazetta nude and thinking 'wow, that dude's checking out porn' and bitching about it.

Because I recieved three separate warnings from mods for posting pictures with mild nudity - not even sex - telling me I could be banned because of this. I hope you'd understand why I therefore hid the image... I just thought it was so overblown that I'd ask what people here felt. But what you say makes it smell like double standard, or? On a lighter note, I'd be more concerned about anyone at work noticing my browsing of this thread and catching me looking at a Rob Liefeld Captain America cover, however ironic my reasoning would be

Soupy wasn't always.

Soupy was before my time, but there's always the infamous moment where he told the kids watching to sneak into their parents' room, steal the money form their wallets and purses, and mail it to him at the TV station. I think a good part of his legend comes from that bit, and rightfully so.
