#40 Aquaman - DC Comics SuperheroAquaman, King of the Seven Seas, how influential he was - I'm still a fan of two animated Cartoons they are: Superman and Aquaman Hour of Adventure SuperfriendsI have watched a lot of cartoons in my days and believe me I did watch a ton of programming of ABC, NBC, and CBS when they had these cartoons on. Superman and Aquaman Hour of Adventure was on the CBS Station every Saturday Morning starting 8am and then move it to a later time. While later on the Superfriends were on ABC Station and that was on 9am and later on at 10am and I watched these two programs religiously without fail. Then later on another influence of Aquaman is the Newspaper Strip Cartoon Series entitled the The World's Greatest Superheroes that has an impressive list/lineup of SuperStars of DC Comics that features these Superheroes in this Newspaper Supplement shown below. This just an introduction of some of the things that I will be sharing in a day or two while I have time to look for things that I want to share and hopefully I will wrap things up by Saturday at the latest.

Who didn't like Aquaman as a kid ?
My interest waned a little as I got older but really liked the water hand Aquaman Veitch gave us, and later Sub Diego, and the New 52 version. Haven't read Aquaman rebirth yet. Oh yeah, liked Busiek's Sword of Aquaman too.

And, later on I will be sharing my thoughts of Jason Momoa as Aquaman in the Batman vs Superman Movie and as well in the Justice League Movie that's already been filming and hope to come out in 2017. I will start these things tomorrow and I need time to think things out.

Duncan Regehr - Zorro 1990 TV SeriesHe was by far the most charming Zorro ever, I remember this series vividly and I was in awe of how well it's made and furthermore it was a top notch production and the settings were magnificent and it's was splendid as it's come. The Introduction was true to it's core and most importantly it was simply memorable.
This show was almost certainly my introduction to Zorro so it's nice to know that it really was as great as I recall it being.
There were a number of Zorro serials as well during the 30's and 40's (including The Ghost of Zorro in which Clayton Moore took the lead) but it's Reed Hadley who stands out to me. There's a great sequence in Zorro's Fighting Legion when a citizen accuses Don Diego of being the masked outlaw. Hadley plays the scene superbly as he actually seems to blush at the suggestion. "Me? That dashing hero of justice? I... I don't know what to say, but this is an honour! Thank you!" (or words to that effect). None of that "er...um...ah...don't - don't be ridiculous! I'm not...um...err" but instead "You think I'm Zorro? That's fantastic! I'd be honoured if you continue to think this!"

I did not know there were The Ghost of Zorro at all. And, again ... I did know a very little about the Zorro's Fighting Legion but my memory is very shaky on that. I only saw portions of it on the big screen and missed most of the movie serials back then. But, I do know a Television Series by the name of Queen of Swords; but, I felt it would out of place because Zorro was a man and she was a Woman that very much Zorro-Like in this television series that ran in 2000 to 2001.

Top Three Aquaman both Comics and Animated Cartoons1. Golden Age AquamanOf all the Aquaman's that I've encountered I really enjoy reading the many stories of the Golden Age of Comics - this Aquamn is more than perfect and most all he has a fantastic costume that has all the Yellow, Orange, and Green in the right places. I find this character colorful, dramatic, engaging, and most of all one of the most unique characters that I've ever encountered. He was the King of the Seven Seas and I wished that they kept this costume intact during the Silver Age when he was a member of the Justice League of America. He was amazing and one of my favorite characters to read. 2. New 52 AquamanWhen, I was a member of the old Hall of Justice Forum many members there commented that this Aquaman was excellent and considered a Geoff Johns Masterpiece and he made him gritty, challenging, tough as nails, and most importantly even more intelligence than ever before. I love the story of he battled Black Manta and with so many great stories it's hard for me to pick a favorite of mine. Aquaman in the Trench, Aquaman, The Other League, and Aquaman, The Atlantis (I think) is one of the three that's stands out and I occasionally once in a while look at the book and I find the Artwork in these books outstanding too. 3. Aquaman - Justice League UnlimitedHe was tough as nails, determined, ready to go, strong, resourceful, and most of all pretty much a loner on the team that gave him an unpredictable edge. I just find him very savvy, intelligence, and one of the most unique characters on this team of Justice League Unlimited and only trust a very few heroes that he can relate to. I really miss Justice League Unlimited Cartoons and I occasionally go to my friend's house and he has all DVD's and he let's me borrow them once in a while. These You Tube is a good inkling of how good he really is. Bonus You Tube - History of Aquaman

JASON MOMOA - AQUAMAN in FilmsI feel that they did a poor job casting him as Aquaman and I felt that in my opinion that his costume and too rugged and muscular look destroyed my concept of Aquaman. The costume is too medieval, too dark, and the only thing that has color is his A symbol that looks like a pale version of Gold. When, I saw him Batman v Superman Movie - I was dumbfounded and cried of how awful that he looked and not enough color in his costume to resemble that he is the King of the Seven Seas. Most of you probably what in the world that MechaGodzilla is thinking here and I will watch the Justice League Movie but I will be ever sadden of why they cast Jason to be AQUAMAN and having said that I felt that he is too intense looking but I do agree that he does have the regal look of a King and when he was in Batman v Superman movie he has a commanding voice and has some excellent acting skills to balance out my flaws and to me it's isn't enough to make it work as Aquaman. Right Now, I would give him a C grade as AQUAMAN and I think that DC Comics did me a grave injustice of hiring Zach Snyder as Director for the Justice League Movie and I for one, is very concerned of how it's will come out in 2017. It's already in filming mode right now and I hope that this movie will be a box office success and everything will be okay. I'm a bit nervous about the Justice League Movie and Jason Momoa is a poor to average choice to play AQUAMAN.

#39 - The Teen Titans - DC ComicsORIGINAL TEEN TITANSWonder Girl - Sidekick of Wonder Woman Robin - Sidekick of Batman Kid Flash - Sidekick of Flash Speedy - Sidekick of Green Arrow Aqualad - Sidekick of Aquaman As you all know our esteemed Administrator of this Site - Shaxper has started an thread on the Teen Titans from the beginning and working his way up. classiccomics.boards.net/thread/3607/teen-titans-beginning-reviews-shaxperYou can find here by this http address that can be found here in Classic Comics Forum. I don't know much about the early days of the Teen Titans but I do know them quite well in the latter stages like the The New Teen Titans, West and East Coast Titans, and the ever popular Teen Titans Cartoon on the Cartoon Network Channel. This is an introductory post and I will be exploring this team as I know it from my perspective and I do consider it as a legitimate version of the Junior Justice League of the America and that group attracted a lot of attention from the younger comic book readers from 6 to 11 years of age back in the sixties and that made them a very popular group that I consider them very instrumental and streamlined that really packed the punch that's made them extraordinary. Having said all that, I will be busy in the next few days sharing all I can on this group and I just wanted to let you all that this group is one of my favorites because it is the sidekicks are running the show! Sidekicks Rules!
