Yes, they are. Thanks for the work you're putting into it, and we'll still be here in 2-3 weeks.

Thread will resume on 9/13/2016
I just got back from a meeting from my Coach and Teammates in my Water Polo League and they canceled my match today and the league decided that a 50 Match Season is way too many matches to play and reduce it down to 32! Because of these changes there will be no All-Star Match this year; but it will pick up again the following year. I will play two (double match) matches a week to help streamline the process better and since everyone have Fridays off - Most of the matches will be played on Fridays. That's all I will be sharing on my Water Polo League.
I will resume on the 13th and I will be sharing my thoughts on #23 and proceed from there and be able to cover 4-6 characters a month and I hope to have it done a week or two before Christmas 2016.
September 13th, I will resume this thread ...

Catching up on this thread: The Mighty Hercules--first saw this on a UHF channel as a child. It was the only cartoon my brother and I could agree on! Bat-Girl-I will be in the minority, but she is my favorite Bat-Girl. I like Barbara too, but Betty Kane always fascinated me. I first learned of her in Teen Titans 50 and was very shocked to learn there was a Bat-Girl before Barbara Gordon. Always wanted to see DC do more with her-- a rivalry between the 2 Batgirls would have been a fun story. Don Heck art: a very underrated artist. Unfortunately, his talents would have been better used in a non-superhero format (although I find his work on Iron Man and X-Men to be awesome). I have a book about him and he was often called in to do a rush job to get a book out on time. His art was often unflatteringly inked which made it look sloppy. The book depicts him as a very nice guy who was not quite appreciated despite doing his very best. Great thread!

#23 Lex Luthor - DC Comics CharacterNote to All: I'm surprising myself that I'm starting it earlier than I thought and having said that I decided to cut down the research of one area - You Tube, this been a source of problem of finding the right video clip for this thread and I will use You Tubes if it applies and I'm thinking a bit clearer these days and I just finished my organization for Lex Luthor, my #23 character! ... I will be changing my avatar a bit later and I hope to have it done sometimes the middle of next week. Lex Luthor - Arch Foe of Superman, one of the most iconic villain of all times and one of the most craftiest, diabolical, and most evilest character ever existed in all of DC Comics. I always enjoyed reading about Lex Luthor in the 70's of which in the Bronze Age he was at his best and I consider the picture above you the best picture of Lex Luthor in his villainy height and that alone makes him special. He and the Joker had one thing in common - purple and green and that's kind of unique knowing that both Batman and Superman's villains has something in common among themselves. Below you is another great picture of Lex Luthor and I found it by accident and I just loved the dynamics of this picture showing him at his best. To me, he is a renegade scientist always thinking and dreaming up ways to defeat Superman and that's alone makes him one of the most dangerous kind out there. When you say his name Lex Luthor - it's rings evil and it's sends you a chill down to your spines that he's out there to defeat the Man of Steel, Man of Tomorrow, and the Last Son of Krypton and wipe him off forever. Forever! He's truly an villain that's one of the most intelligent and that's makes a very scary proposition to Superman and that's alone make him a foe that's more than worthy to defeat Superman. His rivalry with him is the stuff of legends and I just find their battles together truly iconic and I want members here to share what's is your favorite battles in comic books that you can find and post them here for all of us to share. My favorite one in one of the final chapter of his storyline in the Superman/Batman Comic book back in 2004 of which Luthor finally reveals his intentions to fight Superman in the due process. That's was a moment that I don't forget. Man, this is one awesome picture right here! Tomorrow, I will share two Luthors that I have great fondness for and you will see why they are my favorites ... you are in a treat! Off to change my Avatar to Lex Luthor!

Atom Man verses Superman These pictures sums up the whole series from start to finish and believe me Lyle Talbot was unreal as Lex Luthor and he also played two characters Atom Man and Luthor. Kirk Alyn was great as Superman and played the part just perfectly back then and he lacks some of the flair of George Reeve later on but he was a far better Clark Kent than George. He played Clark Kent brilliantly back then. Of all the supporting characters - I like Don Harvey as Albor one of Luthor's Main Henchmen and he was one of the best and I find him compelling and calculated - he's doesn't like making mistakes. Luthor, played by Lyle Talbot was unreal and played the part just magnificently and having him taking on two roles is impressive in this 15 chapters serials and it's packed with action, drama, and excitement. It was made in 1948, and that alone was an achievement back then and I just watched this serial a month ago and I was in awe of how well they made it back then. I just wanted to say this I encourage all of you to take a gander at this serial and I felt that Lyle Talbot was the best Luthor of all time. You just can't beat the original and he literally stole the serial and with Kirk playing an excellent combination of Clark Kent/Superman these four characters alone is worth watching on your television sets back home if you can managed to track down a DVD copy of it. Noel Neill, Tommy Bond, and Pierre Walkin were good as Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, and Perry White. They all played their role in a very respectful manner and I wanted to add that Noel Neill did two serials and a television series with George Reeves and always be the first and foremost Lois Lane in the Television Land and she and Teri Hatcher were the top two Lois Lanes in that department. Tommy Bond as Jimmy Olsen was taken by surprise and I like his characterization better than Jack Larson who played his Jimmy a bit more comical and goofy. Bond is more matured and think on his feet more than Jack ever did. Kirk was always good and nothing can be taken away from his role as Clark Kent and Superman. Anyway, this 15 Part Movie Series is considered one of my favorite Movie Serials and I was kind of surprised that they threw in some animation in their for Superman's flying around and had to do some makeshift special effects back then and that's was expected in this 15 chapters film. I give this series a solid A and I suggest that you should watch it and I wanted to let you all know that it was made back in 1948 - thirty years before Christopher Reeve did Superman the Movie in 1978.

Dumbest Idea that DC Comics ever did to Lex LuthorLuthor's WarsuitWiki Link of WarsuitIt is a brazen move by DC Comics to transform Lex Luthor into a more impressive format that's one DC Comics executive who have the nerve to copy Marvel Comics's Iron Man into the due process and created this prototype that's I consider the worst idea of all time when they did this to Luthor. This is one of main reason that I stopped reading Action Comics and Superman's Magazines and I'm appalled that Marvel Comics did not sue DC Comics for stealing away Iron Man ideas over to DC Comics. I hated it so much and I consider it an insult to Marvel Comics - Iron Man for that concept alone. Yesterday, I was reading the link that I provided for all of you to read it's pretty much in my mind is exactly like Iron Man in more ways into one. Not only Lex Luthor is rich and powerful - so is Tony Stark over at Marvel Comics and that's alone is another comparison that I want to bring out to. It's doesn't matter how you slice it and dice it - it's one of the worst ideas that DC Comics ever done to him. Warsuit Picture 1Iron Man Comparison PictureI'm shocked to see the similarities here and there and I'm very angry at Marvel Comics did not sue DC Comics over this wacky idea and very dumb idea that DC Comics did to Luthor here at the time they did this change. Warsuit Picture 2I got one more thing that I want to share about Luthor and really make me mad and that's one of the many reasons and I understand completely why they did this to him and that alone destroyed everything ... and that's coming up in a day or two and I need time to think about it.

I read that series about a year ago. I thought it started out strong, but deteriorated and got a bit too goofy for its own good. Still, some good Bronze Age fun in there.

Forever Evil / Justice League / Lex Luthor - Leader of the JLAI literally did not care for this crossover and having Evil has their day is something unthinkable in my mind and I consider it one of the Geoff Johns most controversial ideas that he ever done and I had a hard time stomaching it because of all the things that they did to it. It's a seven issue written by Johns and illustrated by David Finch and I briefly read the story a year ago and I just don't want to read it again because I just find it hard to fathom how they managed to do this in the first place. This is so epic in many ways in one of how they written a story that's so huge that enables the Crime Syndicate to take over the world while the Justice League has the most challenging and difficult time controlling the madness that they brought to the world and eventual defeat. I had a sick stomach reading it and therefore with both Lex Luthor and Captain Cold into the ranks of the Justice League I lost my love for the Justice League right here and forever. It's started with the Apokolips War, when a series of events that lead to many eventual changes of where the Multiverse barrier is weakened and starts to crumble that made a mess in the DC Universe that I just don't want to relive it. Later on many heroes were captured and fallen like a house of cards and therefore allowed the Crime Syndicate of America to take over and rule the world in their wicked right hand that cause great problems that I just had a problem of dealing it right here and now. Nightwing was forced to reveal his identity on Television. Ouch. Luthor's Injustice Gang did some damage that made me ill and Batman was furious and angry when he heard that Luthor killed Nightwing. Later on he revived him. And, the whole world consider Luthor a hero and the only surviving members of the Crime Syndicate was Superwoman and Ultraman I believe. After all of this happen a new Justice League team forms with Luthor as the head of the team along with Captain Cold, Shazam, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Cyborg. The most oddest team in history and most disappointing team in the eyes of Juggernaut. Later on Number #22.

I like Luthor's battle armor.
If you were a billionaire, trillionaire, whatever, like Luthor, and super smart and good with technology and weapons, doesn't it make sense to develop an armor like this, much like Tony Stark did over at Marvel ?
Well, it happened at DC too, but it was a supervillain named Luthor.

Well, it happened at DC too, but it was a supervillain named Luthor. You are one of the rare people that liked Luthor's battle armor. Pretty much, about 70 percent of the people that I've talked to did not like it one bit. For you, that's okay and I can understand your reasons. There is no harm in that.
