Why The Hulk Movies Didn't Work, According To Stan LeeShort Link of ArticleQuote from Stan LeeWell, my own feeling is that in the first two, they made him too powerful. I never conceived of him that way, and I didn't think it was necessary for him to be that big. I thought he could’ve been seven and a half feet tall. That's quite enough. From MeI totally agree with Stan Lee and this article is a wake up call and I will be sharing my thoughts of the two movies tomorrow and this post is a preliminary of the problems ahead.

10 Different Hulks in Comics Books and Movies - Height Only Part 1 of 2Original Hulk - 7 Feet, 1000 PoundsFor the time when he first arrived, I felt that this was an ideal height and weight for this character for awhile and then things starts getting a little hairy after awhile and sometimes blown out of portions. To me, 7 feet and 1000 pounds is my standard of the Hulk when I was growing up and still does. Ang Lee Hulk - 9 FeetIn the 2003 Movie, I felt that this Hulk was a too big for the movie itself and I only saw this movie once and I did not care for it at all. It was not my cup of tea and I did not care for the script too. One of the poorest movies ever. Branagh Hulk - 12 FeetIn the 2008 Movie, this is got to be the most ridiculous Hulk in terns of height - and I heard rumors that this Hulk was 15 Feet also and that's make wonder what in the world that Marvel Films is trying to do here. Favreau Hulk (Avengers) - 8 FeetThis is the best Hulk of in any movie and comic books today and I felt it was just perfect and he did a great job making this character work. Grey Hulk - 6'6My worst Hulk in any form and I just think he is too puny and too grotesque.

10 Different Hulks in Comics Books and Movies - Height Only Part 2 of 2Merged Hulk - 7'6I really do not know much about this Hulk, but this Hulk is something I did not expect to be good and all that; but according to my friends at my LCS they felt that this Hulk was almost perfect and I was surprised to see him mentioned so highly. I think it was the same size as Professor Hulk. Savage Hulk - 7'8One of my favorites (in terms of personality) and I felt that this another version of the Merged Hulk but only 2 inches taller. I wished that I could share more on this Hulk but I did not read much of him and I'm contradicting myself for liking it very much because of his personality. World Breaker Hulk - 8'8This is the Hulk that was in World War Hulk and one of the most imposing Marvel Comics Hulk of all time and I find him too powerful to be the Hulk and being close to Ang Lee Hulk in terms of size and power - this Hulk was too much for me alone. Juggernaut - 9'5My own Username is a towering figure of 9 Feet and 5 Inches tall and his weight around 1900 pounds. Mark Ruffalo - Incredible Hulk in the Avengers MovieHis stature as 8 Feet tall in this movie was just perfect. Perfect HulkIf the Juggernaut is 9'5" and weighs around 1900 pounds - I felt that my version of the Hulk should be at Mark Ruffalo Height and 2000 pounds and that would the best Hulk yet. So, in my own opinion that the Hulk in the Avengers Movie is just right and I really do not know how heavy he is. But, if he anywhere around 2000 pounds - I say this he right on the Money! PERFECT HULK8 Feet Tall and 2000 Pounds

What's your favorite iteration of the character? Original green? Savage? Gray, or Professor? I liked Joe Fixit best, but I also like the short tempered child-like green Hulk of the Bronze Age (and much of the Silver Age).

Stan Lee and Lou Ferrigno AutographsA dear friend of mine had two copies of this photo and he and I watched the Incredible Hulk TV Show when we were back then and he recently passed away. His power of attorney gave me one of the two copies with certificate of authenticity with them and I was stunned when I got this in the mail a month ago; after attending his memorial service three months prior to that and it's took them a long time to expedite all his personal belongings to the people that he loved the most. According to the Power of Attorney it's worth around $200 to $350 and I haven't had the time to appraise it but I'll will later this month. I'm moving on to Number 14 later on this week possibly starting around Wednesday or Thursday.

Personal Notes for all Members & Guests
I did some long term planning on this thread and having Water Polo Matches, Playoffs, Two Clubs to Run, Thanksgiving, and Christmas and other personal business that I have to attend to. I will be offline for a minimum of 17-21 days from now to 6th of January and I'm afraid that this thread will end around January 31st to February 6th. I figured that I will be adding another 126 to 150 posts on this thread and with planning and thinking of what to share has to account for and that's alone could cause me to get to Number 1 a day or two from the 31st of January 2017.
I just can't do both LONG HALLOWEEN and this THREAD at the same time due to my own personal commitments and I'm totally sorry that I have to bow out the LONG HALLOWEEN for this THREAD alone.
My reminding 14 characters are all ICONIC in the world of DC and Marvel Comics and some of my personal favorites as well and they played a heavy influence on me for variety of reasons.
Number 14 will come in around late Wednesday and early Thursday and I wanted to get this off my chest and I spent time this morning to plan ahead and use my time wisely to get this thread done in a reasonable amount of time.
Thank You Members and Guests!

That Hulk pic is by John Byrne and I think the inks are by Bob Wiacek. The pic is unusual cause that's the only pic I can remember that proportionately makes the Hulk look shorter and stockier than tall looming over people. Depending on which version of the Hulk, he stands between 6'6" and 8'8". He looks more like 5' something here. Not saying I don't like it. I love Byrne's Hulk. I think the image is from Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe volume 2, with Joe Rubinstein being the inker. The image is perhaps based on Jack Kirby's version from Avengers #1, but with a more sensible number of toes. Byrne never got to draw the Hulk with these proportions in an actual comic because he fell out with Jim Shooter and departed for DC before he could reboot the Hulk to look this way. It's been speculated that the reason Byrne separated Banner and the Hulk was so he could kill the latter and have Banner become a new Hulk, enabling Byrne to pretend the Herb Trimpe and Sal Buscema eras had never happened.

#14 Captain America - Marvel Comics CharacterOf all the Characters in Avengers history - he is my 2nd Favorite All-Time and rightly so. To me, he is the natural leader of the Avengers and when the Avengers first came on scene the group itself lack the proper leadership until Captain America arrived in Avengers (pictured below) #4. I consider him one of the most complete Marvel Hero of all time because he's embodied the Marvel Image and was one of the many reasons that I loved about the early days of Marvel Comics and most of all I grew a certain fondness of this character because to me he represent the American Way just like Superman did for DC Comics. I'm not saying that literally, but in methodical sense of the word. One of the first Marvel Comics Character ever appeared in animated format back in 1966 and I remember some of those cartoons back then and the animation was crude and unique. Here's the 1st show back then: I have lots to share about Captain America in the next few days and I'm afraid that I will be spending just as much or even more than I did with the Incredible Hulk and that's speaks volumes about this patriotic character from Marvel Comics that all of us at one point of our lives today. So, let's cheer for the RED, WHITE, and BLUE ... of Captain America!

Two Early Captain America MoviesCaptain America - 1979
I really did not care for the REB BROWN version at all and having said that I did not even cared for his costume either and this movie back then and I only watch this movie twice and that was the end of this nonsense of a Captain America Movie in 1979. However, I did like his (pictured below) bike. Captain America - 1990The Matt Salinger's version has a more true to form Coatume and I find his characterization a bit more better than the one that I saw in 1979. The only thing that bothers me is his hair and he wasn't blonde like Steve Rogers in the comic books that I know and it's bothers me a lot back then and still does. I like the Red Skull in this movie the earlier version not the later version. Both of them has it's good points and some bad points - In my own opinion they were both below average and I haven't seen these movies in more than 15 years and simply have a hard time going back to them. Sorry Everyone!

I feel about Cap kind of like some fans say they feel about Superman : he's such a straight arrow and Boy Scout he's kind of boring. That sort of makes sense, but, I love both Cap and Supes, and maybe it's because they really, truly try to do the right thing, which not enough people even try to achieve any more. Corny ? maybe, but it strikes home with me. Now, back to Cap. Much as I love all things Kirby, my favorite version of Cap is John Byrne's. He just has the perfect take on him.
