Justice Society of the America - Post 4 of 7All Star Comics #36This is the issue everyone was waiting for the first and only issue in the GOLDEN AGE OF COMICS that has both Batman and Superman on the cover of All Star Comics. It was a groundbreaking issue an issue of all issues that I consider one of the most sought after issue that all collectors wants. Both Titans of Justice - the legendary detective from Gotham City and the man of tomorrow from Metropolis are graced on the cover of ALL STAR COMICS #36. It was a truly epic event and one of the most beloved cover of all time. JUSTICE SOCIETY OF THE AMERICA never, ever, looked better on that truly awesome COVER! I first read this issue reprinted in a Justice League of America Digest. Great story!

Sorry, it was in a Justice Society of America digest. I will try to find a picture of it. It was Blue Ribbon digest. I remember Superman, Batman, and Dr. Fate on the front cover and it was like they were holding up the covers of the stories in the digest. The back cover had the JSA members heads framing the text describing the stories in the digest. One story was All Star #36. The other was the All-Star story that introduced the Super Squad. There may have been a solo Dr. Fate story as well.

BTW, these issues are reprinted in DC's excellent archives series.
I got the entire original Golden Age run on Comixology : a great way to get a great series for $ 1.99 each.
Love the thread and your passion Juggy !

#12 Fantastic Four - Marvel Comics Legendary GroupMister Fantastic - Reed Richards, Invisible Girl - Sue Storm, Human Torch - Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm as The Thing altogether they form the FANTASTIC FOUR. I consider the Fantastic Four - Marvel's version of the Justice Society of America because I said it in previous post - if Justice Society is the Grand-daddy of all Groups - DC and Marvel Comics included. I consider the Fantastic Four the Grand-daddy of all Marvel Comics Group because of it unique characteristics of the group dynamics. There is a old saying - More is Less - I heard that a thousand times in my lifetime and many times in my days in College learning about economics and my Professors keep saying that - More is Less ... and sometime Less is More too. Stan Lee and Jack Kirby who together created the Fantastic Four had that in mind when they created it. And, overnight this group has taken the country by storm with this issue below starting with Issue Number #1! So, in the next coming days ahead and may take me a week or more to cover a lot of ground of the rich history of the Fantastic Four - and I'm only covering the Original Group and I know that She-Hulk and others were at one time were members of the Fantastic Four and I'm not going to cover them at all. Neither is Herbie (pictured below) because I had a hard time convincing myself a robot - a member of the group? ... I don't think so. Sorry Herbie Fans ... I just had a hard time accepting it.

Roger Corman's Fantastic FourFULL MOVIE from YOU TUBETRAILER OF THE MOVIEI watched this movie a year ago and I had a hard time accepting it and this is the first (unreleased) and yet Doomed Movie of the Fantastic Four and that alone makes me wonder why Roger Corman made this film? To me, it not my cup of tea - despite the casting. Made in 1984.

Fantastic Four Movies2005 Version2007 Version2015 RebootAll three films failed in my own opinion - Although the 2005 Version was average at best and the 2007 Version added the Silver Surfer - Despite the lavish Special Effects and all and the disappointing aspect of Galactus appearance was dismal at best and I did not see the 2015 Reboot on the advice of my dear friend of whom they all consider it a BOMB. Galactus Scene with the Silver Surfer after the Surfer healed Sue Storm. 2005 and 2007 Cast Picture 2015 Cast Picture Remember Chris Evans as Human Torch - to me that his worst role ... Remember Chris Evans as Captain America - to be that his better (much) role. I loved him as Captain America and I don't care for him as the Human Torch. I hope that they never, ever make another Fantastic Four Films. I consider the three films along with the Roger Corman film back in 1984 were so bad that I have a hard time accepting them as face value. The best film of the four - is the First film that made in 2005 and I grade that film a C at it's very best. The following film in 2007 a D, the Corman film a F, and the 2015 film a BOMB based on my friends that saw it and I'm glad that I did not see it that year. That's all I have to say on the remaining Three Films of the Fantastic Four.

The 2015 movie wasn't bad up until they threw Dr Doom in, which made it horrible.
The set up as the 4 of them being science explorers was good, but from there, it really sucked.

The 2015 movie wasn't bad up until they threw Dr Doom in, which made it horrible. The set up as the 4 of them being science explorers was good, but from there, it really sucked. That's what my friends said to me and the actor that played Doom in their opinion was worst of the worst and that's why I almost went until my friends at the LCS stopped me and ask me did you see the new FF movie? ... I said no, and I'm planning on seeing it tomorrow. They all took time to explain how bad it was when the time DOOM enters - it's all went spiraling downhill from there and the movie literally tanked on them. So, they avoided me not to see it and one of my nieces husband sent me an e-mail advising me to not to see it and he said when Doom came in he literally said to my niece this movie is so horrible from that point on. Thanks for your comments here and I understand what you are conveying here.

It's so bizarro to me that Dr Doom is such a great character and they have him coming off looking like such a one dimensional buffoon.
If or when Marvel finally has a hand in the FF, they'll finally get done correctly.

Dear Everyone:
I run two clubs back home and we have a business meeting on Friday and it's a major business meeting involving scheduling and I have to take care of it. It's maybe 7 to 10 days before I get into the rest of the Fantastic Four. I got a favor for anyone here - I want to know the issue of where the Fantastic Four that dealt with Klaw, the Master of Sound, Black Panther, and Wyatt Wingfoot who warned the Thing anything that you touch is a potential booby trap. All I need is the Issue Number and I think it somewhere an later issue that both Stan and Jack worked on. I appreciate it very much ... a Private Message would be nice if you know an issue number is.

How Strong is the Thing? This is a cool link something that I can share now ... I had a busy day today running my two clubs and I've might be able to be done with on Saturday. I will be able to share something on late Saturday and/or early Sunday about something that hold dear to me. Getting back to the Thing, I consider the The Thing one of the top 10 strength wise in Marvel Comics History. The ThingGreat Link Everyone!
