You picked ringers, that's for sure.
OMG you so owe it to yourself esp if you're a fan of The Dude.
It's honestly one of the best one-shots I've ever read.
I promise there's no way you'll be disappointed Robert.
Classicly Classic

The Hulk is my favorite Marvel character. I'm going to order it. It's down the list, so it'll be here long before I get to the review.

Let me chime in on the chorus of praise for the Superman/Hulk book. It's made of awesome dipped in chocolate awesome. I'm a big Steve Rude fan and I got him to autograph it for me at ComicCon a decade or so back.
Cei-U! I summon a personal favorite!

None of them really appeal to me, mainly because I just don't care much for most of the popular DC characters. Look at the images above, for example: almost every single Superman panel is about him displaying his superiority to whatever opponent he happens to be facing. That seems to be the basic point of every Superman story I see, and I find it hard to imagine anything more monotonous.
I did enjoy the Perez artwork in the JLAvengers miniseries, but found the story itself pretty dull, largely for the reasons stated.

Of all of these, I only own and have read X-Men vs. New Teen Titans. However, it's hard to believe it gets any better than that.

I haven't read that one but I'm a bit suspicious of Claremont who, like all too many superhero writers, sometimes showed a tendency to build up his favourite characters at the expense of others - for example when he had Wolverine face Arkon in an X-Men Annual, and it was all about what a tough-guy Wolverine was with his killer instinct, etc. I seem to recall seeing an image online that left me with the impression that he might have done something similar with Dark Phoenix and Darkseid in this story, but can't say for sure, not having read it. Did he give in to the urge to show everyone how very much more powerful Dark Phoenix was than Darkseid here or did he resist and leave both characters with their stature intact?

The the only thing I remember about the Titans/ X-men book was that Starfire knew of the Phoenix power from her past.

Batman/Captain America is really great. I really need to read Superman/Hulk. I'm not a big fan of either character, but I love me some Steve Rude.

My guess is that the Batman + Captain America story was better than most because each is habitually presented as a similar kind of can't-be-beat, morally superior character, so that balanced out. IOW, the writer wouldn't try to make Batman look morally superior at the expense of Captain America or vica versa. Who drew that one?
I'll say one thing: several of them look really good. The Simonson/Austin art in the Teen Titans/X-Men, Perez's JLAvengers, the Steve Rude Hulk thing (though I don't think it's his best work). They often get top artists to work on them.

I'll be reading and reviewing Superman vs Spider-Man today. I did my little word document write up of the story details and credits earlier today and man...was that the most complex set of comics credits that I've had to tackle yet. I knew that Neal Adams and Romita Sr. did redraws throughout the story, but I wasn't ware that Terry Austin and Bob Wiacek inked the backgrounds. The little fact that they weren't credited through me off. Also, I misspoke earlier. Actually, the only selections that I've read in full are: Batman/Cap, Darkseid vs Galactus and JLA/Avengers. I've read parts of most of the others over the years, but most of that was years ago during my comic shop browsing days. I looked for most of these on Comixology out of curiosity, and just like I thought, none of them are available. It's sad that things have gotten so corporate that fun crossovers like the ones I'm going to review aren't a possibility any longer.
