Who is your favorite & why?
JSA? JLA? Titans? LoSH? Avengers? Defenders? Invaders? X-Men?
(Youngblood)?
I really liked the All Star Squadron. I also liked the old JLA/JSA crossovers. At Marvel Invaders was a favorite for a long time.

I've found over the years I'm not a fan of team books. I don't mind trying runs or storylines people might suggest but haven't kept in a team book month to month in probably over 10 years save Abnett & Lanning's short GotG series.
I much prefer solo books containing team ups and guest stars, rather than monthly title starring X number of members.
However if we are talking cinema, I love both Justice League, Justice League Unlimited and the JL movie War I watched last night. And I'm about to watch JL The Flashpoint Paradox. Enjoyed the hell out of GotG thought the first Avengers movie was good to fair.

I know this is trite, but it's the X-Men for me. The Claremont/Silvestri post Mutant Massacre team is a favorite.

The Justice Society of America, the first and greatest team in comics. Though the Defenders come a close second, particularly as written by Steve Gerber or JM DeMatteis. I also like the Avengers, the Invaders, the Freedom Fighters, All-Star Squadron and Infinity Inc.

For me, my top 5 (leaving out the Marvel Family and New Gods - not really teams IMO): Fantastic Four: it's been almost consistently good throughout it's entire run. Yeah, a few ups'n'downs here and there but far fewer downs than any other long running serial. The perosonalities and the love that runs through the characters are probably the most innovative in comics.
Justice Society of America: particularly the 1970s All-Star Comics return. It was very refreshing and quite different to anything I'd read. Old superheroes and young uns? Interesting.
Freedom Fighters: enjoyed the 70s serial but I wish they kept them on Earth-X, where the Nazis won and Earth-1 heroes had no powers.
Legion of Super-Heroes: from when Jim Shooter came on and really when Paul Levitz came in. The Great Darkness Saga was second to none.
Defenders: Dr Strange! Namor! Hulk! Silver Surfer! That's got to be the most powerful team ever. Okay, non-team (whatever that is!). It certainly had it's up and downs but when it was good....
...and my top 5 villian teams (trying to leave out ones that were really just collections but not a team, e.g. the Rogues, the Secret Society of Super-Villains etc.) The Wrecking Crew: always disappointed they never really got the acclaim. Raw power. should have been contenders.
Crime Syndicate of America: Really came to the fore in the JLA/JSA/ASS crossover but also enjoyed their most recent return
Squadron Sinister: don't get me wrong, I liked the Squadron Supreme but there's something more interesting about Hyperion as evil.
Brotherhood of Evil Mutants: the original line-up was interesting. Villains that hate each other but stay due to fear and bullying.
Legion of the Unliving: are they an actual team? Probably not by my decription but anyway, great idea. Tremendous story with the first appearance. The Human Torch killing Iron Man. The Vision encountering Wonder Man. The return of the Ghost. Brilliant. (seeing as I shouldn't have allowed them, I'll go for the Titanic Three instead, although they were massivly underused).

I've never been a fan of Team Ups. But, I never thought of FF as a Team Up.
I like the original FF.
As a kid in the 60s I liked the original Teen Titans.
I like Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commandos.

The JSA is my favorite super-team, hands down, followed by the Avengers, the pre-Crisis JLA, the Incredibles, Defenders (up until the founding members leave), New Teen Titans, Fantastic Four, the Claremont.Byrne X-Men, the Invaders, Thunder Agents, and original Doom Patrol.
Cei-U! Yeah, I'm a team guy!

If the Inhumans count as a team I might possibly go for them, even though there has never, to my knowledge, been an Inhumans comic that I would rank with the best of the FF or the Avengers or the Defenders or probably other teams I can't think of at the moment. And the way things look right now, it isn't likely there ever will be.

Although the BPRD is my number one(see above) I recently read through another team book that was fantastic: Agents of Atlas has this amazing pulpy feel and I'm sorely sorry I didn't buy this while it was coming out and I wish it would come back.
