It's October... and Luke Cage is on Netflix!
I think I can persuade my wife that we need to see this (even if I have to use the word "abs" once or twice...)

I'm six episodes in and I love it. Luke Cage has been a character I've been waiting to see on screen for years, and so far this series has not disappointed.

Glad to hear this is good. I haven't seen any of the Netflix series yet, but my wife and I are cutting the cord in the next week and going to a Hulu/Netflix/Amazon Prime mix for our entertainment needs, so I'm going to get myself caught up on all of them in the near future.

I will be watching this for sure. Watching Longmire on Netflix right now, plus the network shows are all coming back. Planning on working Luke Cage in when I can!

I have two episodes left. Season 2 needs to be ready to go as soon as I'm done. I can;t say enough nice things about this series.

I'm not gonna dump on the show because it wasn't exactly "bad". That said though, it wasn't necessarily really good either IMO. It just kindve was.

I'm 10 episodes in, and while the first 3 episodes are very strong...it REALLY fades after that. Personally I think Marvel/Netflix need to abandon this 13 episode model with their shows. Scale it back to around 8 episodes and tell stronger, more coherent stories. Because basically every one of these seasons have been longer than they needed to be.

I'm only half way through but I've been loving the noir/70's exploitation feel which is just perfect for Cage.

I've really liked the 1st 2 episodes.. much like Daredevil, I don't feel like it bares much resemblance to the comic (only superficially, really) but it was a darn good story so far.
I really appreciated the tie in, too (using Turk from Daredevil)... that set the timing of the series really nicely. Misty was great, too.

I've really liked the 1st 2 episodes.. much like Daredevil, I don't feel like it bares much resemblance to the comic (only superficially, really) but it was a darn good story so far. It was true for Jessica Jones as well, but in all three cases the writers have succeeded in something very rare in comic-book adaptations: staying true to the essence of all these characters even without using the same plots we've seen in the printed form. I find that quite impressive because usually, when screenwriters (who aren't that familiar with comics, really) say they intend to stay true to a character but decide to go their own way, they completely miss the target. In the Netflix Marvel series, I really recognize these characters. The numerous easter eggs are also a brilliant way to tell the long-time readers "see, we haven't forgotten about you even when we change stuff to better suit a TV audience". I've put Cage on hold after the burial episode, but I intend to get back to it this weekend!

I've seen the comment that this doesn't bear much reseblance to the comics but I don't get it as it feels pretty true to the character to me, it especially feels similar to the series that came out after Alias, Cage, and all with out adapting full, specific stories which I also find impressive. On a side note I love the music they choose for this show, the scene where they played Plain Gold Ring was amazing.
