Hmm, Plastic Man, maybe? (Cue Icctrombone with an image of the pouch-tastic, armored Liefeld re-design that lasted for one month in 1993 ) Nope, not Plas. In that first installment, as seen in your image, the left upper side of his costume was black with red highlights, and his feet looked like they'd been dipped in tar. In his second installment, his right arm was bare, but close examination shows that was a coloring error: In his next appearance, he finally got the tar off of his feet and began taking advantage of his plasticity to mold his feet into toe-less blanks: In his fifth appearance, the left side begins to match the right: And when DC revived the character in 1966, he was given full red tights to cover his legs...but that was revealed to be the son of the original Plastic Man, so it doesn't count. Minor tweaks, maybe, but distinctive and intentional ones!

Except for that first appearance...

Interesting. I do vaguely recall the bit about his feet.

Nightmare from Clue Comics: And was later changed by Clue Comics #7: Suffice to say, I think the former costume was cooler.

This DC 100-Pg Batman comic had the story of "Batman's Strangest Costumes." He has different costumes, for different missions, including one reserved for Robin. Inside, we also got fan designs for a new Robin costume. If you are going to include Wonder man, though, you need this one: What was George Perez thinking? Sorry, but that is my favorite Wonder Man costume. Not that he's had a lot of great costumes, or any great costumes, for that matter, but I think this is definitely the best of a bad lot.

Yeah, I've never understood the ridicule often expressed towards this costume - how is it any sillier or badly designed than any other superhero costume? If this one's sill, they're all silly - which they are, from one POV, but within the conventions of the genre this one's no worse than most others. I like it, myself, though I might pick the original look as my favourite for the character.

I wouldn't say I prefer one of these over the other but I do like the original grey Hulk - more monstrous, less superhero-y.

My only issue is with the color composition. I assume they went with green and red because of the old costume, though it was more green and orange. I thought a deep blue would go better with the red and gold. also, the red at the abdomen seems out of place. I'm also not keen on the gold bands at the tops of the boots. I think pointed tops would have fit the lines of the torso area better, since it has the scallops at the deltoids and the WM insignia.

Can we talk about villains? I always thought that Cyborg Brainiac was his best look: Maybe it made him look like an Ultron wannabee, but it at least made him look more threatening.

Forget the Circus Strongman outfit, Colossus was best when he had the shirtless look:

One Hero, Different Costumes...Whenever I see the title for this thread I can only think to myself... LORD I HOPE...that heroes have more than one costume, because boy oh boy would they be stinky running around day in and day out in the SAME union suit. Also I remember seeing poor ol' Peter Parker having to hand wash his Spidey suit in the sink and dry hang or the time his suit shrunk and didn't fit or the time when his mask was ruined and he had to "borrow" one from a costume shop and it never stayed on properly. It would be hard on a hero to owning only one suit, don't ya think

I can't even imagine what the Wasp's closet looks like! She's the Imelda Marcos of the superhero set.
