40 years ago to day John Lennon was killed. My BF was wondering if anyone would remember.
Impossible to forget.

I use a MacBook for all my music composition/recording stuff. I've had mine for 8 years and it's still fine. I also have an HP laptop for general internet surfing, e-mail, social media, picture editing, playing and editing music etc. I've had that laptop 6 years and it's really time I bought a new one. It's really slowed down, is running Windows 7 (for which Microsoft have stopped support) and the casing around the screen is all broken. It still works fine though, other than the speed issues. Still, I plan to get a new PC laptop in April or May next year. I had Win 7 on my pc until March this year, and without realising it, the Win 7 drivers were limiting my download speed. When I upgraded to Win 10, the drivers were updated as well and my download speed went to full bandwidth. So drivers linked to Win 7 might be the issue.

40 years ago to day John Lennon was killed.
I visited the Imagine spot in Central Park in 2019 and my aunt's husband showed me where he used to live.

40 years ago to day John Lennon was killed. I remember coming home from work that day, pulling out one of my Grateful Dead albums, and playing the song "He's Gone" for John. Like a steam locomotive Rollin' down the track He's gone, he's gone And nothin's gonna bring him back He's gone

Impossible to forget. Especially since Catcher In The Rye was unfairly blamed as influencing the killer Continuing the conversation about old computers, I had a HP Compaq Presario laptop from 2009, that while a piece of crap, did it's job. Eventually Vista crapped out on me and I had to start using Linux Mint, which was as interesting as it was prohibitive. I upgraded a few years ago to Acer Nitro 5 and have been pretty happy with it, mostly bought it for low end gaming and watching media

Especially since Catcher In The Rye was unfairly blamed as influencing the killer Well, that too, I guess. Much further down on my list of what made that news unforgettable, though.

Interestingly enough, I am testing a new browser and haven't loaded my bookmarks and such yet. I was feeling too lazy to type the url, so I googled "classic comics." This forum is the 8th result but still on the front page, if anyone is interested in that sort of thing.

This forum is the 8th result but still on the front page, if anyone is interested in that sort of thing. I remember the last time I had to do that it didn't come up on the first page until I added a third word - "forum", or something like that, I forget what it was, now, exactly. But that was probably a couple years ago or more.

"Classic comics" returns it as the third entry on the second page for me. "Classic comics forum" retuns it as the first entry on the first page.

I won a nice prize with a local pizza franchise...each time I buy a large pizza with a minimum of 3 ingredients, I get one free. I have 25 opportunities until Sept 2021.

At risk of stating the obvious, that is one big dog.

At risk of stating the obvious, that is one big dog. He was big when we adopted him (90+ pounds) and has put on about 10 pounds in the years since, but yes, he is a "chunky monkey" as my wife likes to call him. -M

I've seen a big, chunky lazy dog chilling under a truck....and then spring to the gate in less than 3 seconds to bark at someone in her territory.
Never underestimate the big ones, they can still move fast lol
