Between shax's plight & of course my own might-as-well-be-adolescent misery, I feel almost on the verge of tears here. Yeah ... when you invoked depression in particular (I haven't really had much experience with the dubious pleasure of anxiety), some of the pieces started fitting together for me, shax. As y'all know, that's one I struggle with, along of course with mild bipolar disorder as a special added bonus, so probably I've slapped certain of my wives (two ) & gfs (three) in the face with the same sort of baffling unpleasantness you've been dealing with lately. *sigh* Thing is, if you're mildly bipolar & you've feeling probably just a bit too exuberant of late, I can say right now that getting your heart stomped on is a pretty good remedy. I found that out aobut, what, 4 hours ago, maybe. Lucky me. Sorry to hear it didn't work out. I was hoping for a better outcome for you. For what it's worth, I've had experience with that, though not for a long time. We all have our issues, gripes, and pains, but between what you, Shax, & Pip are going through, I feel pretty lucky. Hopefully you'll all get your second wind soon, and things will look better. |

Think of it this way, Dan - you needed practice. You hadn't asked anyone out in a while. So you did it, and the conversation went about as well as it could have considering that the answer was 'no'. So that was good practice, and it will be easier next time, and the time after that.

ICC you are in Oklahoma too yeah? If you can't or haven't caught to weather forecast there's a possibility of tornadoes. It's suppose to be here in Norman at 520 CT and then Moore and OKC after at its present course. It's north of Chickasha now. Be carefully buddy.
Edit: Nothing's touched down yet but they are looking that way. Even if there's no tornado there's 100% chance of lots of rain and high winds. Possibly hail.
Edit: The storm is now in the Newcastle and Blanchard area and being changed from a tornado warning to a tornado emergency as the storm grows stronger. The chances of formation are now greater and they are advising residents there to find shelter.
Edit: It's reported on the ground south of Norman. We are in a neighbors shelter.

Meanwhile, your intrepid consumer reporter is back again with another instance of a suspicious storefront popping up in my city.
In the past, if you recall, I had reported on that mysterious store that only sold clothing for dogs. Later I encountered a photo shop establishment that would throw your little infant into an arena of live baby chicks and snap off some photos of your toddler as they rolled around, crushing the squawking fowls and be left with a traumatic experience that branded them forever. All for the sake of Easter if you could believe it
Today I was out in the wilds of Jamaica, Queens (Hillside Ave near 169th St if you really need to know) where I espied a storefront called Barbie's House Of Hair. As the awning above the store said "100% Human Hair-We Sell By The Pound". All other signs were in some Arabic language and the only other word I could make out was Bangladesh. I had to peer thru the window and doing so I saw what looked like glass counters, the type you might see in a jewelry store . These counters had pegs attached to its walls where a clump of hair hung from it. Most of them wasn't even good looking hair but rather greyish and scraggly.
What is going on here? A witches' supply shop? A front for drug smuggling? Do they discount pubic or underarm hair or is it all considered equal. So sorry I didn't write the phone # down that was on the awning but if any one is curious and calls Barbie's House Of Hair in Queen, NYC I would love to hear the scoop |

I mean, it could've been infinitely worse. She never said "GET AWAY FROM ME YOU DAMNED OLD WEIRDO" or anthing close to it. But ... this is the first time I've ever been shot down before takeoff, as it were. A new experience, I guess. Sorry bro, but remember THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF WOMEN OUT THERE. THOUSANDS!.
