#37, King Tut, Victor GoodmanFirst Appearance: Batman Confidential #26 To be honest with you I've talked to many Comic Book Readers at the Store that I go to pretty much every other Friday now and they told me that Victor Goodman is about one of deadliest villain that Batman ever faced. I have not read this book at all and hopefully in a month from now - I will get a chance to do so. I do not have any memory of this character and he's worthy in this countdown and many of my readers would put him a bit higher than #37 and some of them a bit lower and I decided that #37 is the right place for him to be. I will be talking about King Tut in Batman cartoon - Brave and the Bold and unfortunately there is no You Tube videos that I can share in this thread. That's will be covered tomorrow because I'm not ready to share anything about that and I need additional time to think things over. I will also will be discussing tomorrow about Victor Bruno role in Batman TV Series starring Adam West too and I will share some things about him too. That's will be done tomorrow also and I will share why I think he is one of the most diabolical villain that Batman Adam West ever faced. I will be sharing some other surprises as well so sit back and enjoy the villainous King Tut in a light that I will promise you that you will be entertained.

King Tut is one of my favorites from the 1960s TV show.
Me TV shows the old Batman show very early Sunday morning. I don't always DVR it because there's been a bit of a Batman TV show renaissance over the last few years, and I've been getting my fix.
But I do check the schedule every week to make sure I don't miss some of the episodes that I haven't seen since I was a kid ... or some that I've never seen at all. Just a couple of weeks ago, I caught Otto Preminger as Mr. Freeze. And I've been checking diligently, hoping they will show John Astin as The Riddler. (Yes, Frank Gorshin owns the role. But I love John Astin! And I've not seen his Riddler episodes since I watched Batman reruns in the 1970s.)
And I always DVR King Tut! I've seen two of the Tut two-parters in the last few months. They're great! Sid Haig is a Tut henchman in one of the episodes. It's the same one that has Marinna Hill as Cleo Patrick. I also love the one that has Ziva Rodann as Nefertiti.
Tut's origin is great because of the way they utilize the student activism of the 1960s. He's a college professor, an expert Egyptologist, who gets hit on the head during a student protest. When he awakens, he thinks he's King Tut! And what else would you do if you thought were King Tut in the modern world? He becomes a Batman villain! Duh!

Thanks for your comments here and regarding John Astin as the Riddler - He did an above average job on his appearance as the Riddler; but Carolyn Jones did a masterful job as Marsha - Queen of Diamonds on that show as well. I wished that they had him as the Riddler when they put that awful Maurice Evans as the Puzzler and I find that show not one of my favorites. Anyway, King (Victor Buono) Tut is a wonderful character on that show and I will be covering him tomorrow and he was splendid in that role and I was deeply sadden that he died at the age of 43.

King Tut on - Batman Brave and the BoldDay of the Dark Knight! Night of the Huntress! Mayhem of the Music Meister!Joker: The Vile and the Villainous! Battle of the Super-Heroes!King Tut aka Professor William Omaha McElroy was an Egyptologist at Yale University. After a blow to the head during a student riot, the Professor developed amnesia and thereafter believed he was a reincarnation of King Tut. He sought to take over Gotham City and defeat Batman and Robin. He was defeated by another blow to the head, returning him to his normal state. In one of Batman and Robin's greatest cases, they wrapped themselves in bandages soaked in butter milk, the only way to repel King Tut's pharaoh rays. He used it to turn people into his zombie slaves and commit robberies. During a bank heist, the Dynamic Duo defeated Tut and destroyed the weapon. All victims were restored to normal. King Tut was recently imprisoned at Iron Heights, Blackgate Prison, then transferred to Arkham Asylum. All this (The Above) Information is taken from Wikipedia - I just can't not vouch for it accuracy. The shows that I've already bold for you are the shows that I watched when King Tut appeared and he was basically was a supporting character in those show and I have fond memories of watching the most entertaining show ... Mayhem of the Music Meister and he was great in that cartoon show. I haven't seen any of these shows for very long but he according to my friends at the store that I go to said to me that he was treated correctly and worthy as a foe for Batman. The other show entitled - Battle of the Super-Heroes was excellent and having said that he was very calculated and did a great job in his short time that they allocated to him and his performance was surprisingly good. That's pretty much sum up his time with Batman Brave and the Bold and sorry that I can't share anymore of what I do know at this present time. More coming tomorrow ... and it's will be a fun one to do!

King Tut, Victor BuonoOne of the most unique characters on Batman's Adam West Series and one of the most deadliest by design because of the murderous motives of putting Robin into a trap of which he's about to be fed to a pit of hungry crocodiles and/or trapping Batman into a sarcophagus and left him to die and miraculously he's able to shutdown his body using some form of Hindu trance and fortunately Alfred came to the rescue after being in that small pool of water for more than a hour. And, not to mentioned his famous scheme of which using scarabs encased in amber to produce Abu Rabu Simbu Tu an ancient Egyptian portion that paralyze the human will and cause them great destruction and harm. He kills the scarabs after making vast qualities of this portion so that he can enslaved the entire Gotham City to his own evil ways. He calls Gotham City - Thebes and claim it as it own province. He has his share of memorable Queens and I will be sharing some of them later on in this thread and I have three of them that I'll start that tomorrow. He has memorable equipment that promote terror to Gotham City, most notably is the Sphinx that was used heavily in the first season of Batman and I consider it one of his master plan to dominate Gotham City once for all. I just loved the nickname that he gave to Batman - Bat-dope and Robin - The Boy Blunder too. For the Dynamic Duo ... it's either Dynamic Dimwits and/or Dynamic Dullards. He starred as KING TUT in various episodes in Batman TV Series and they are: - I'll Be a Mummy's Uncle (1968) ... King Tut - The Unkindest Tut of All (1967) ... King Tut - Batman's Waterloo (1967) ... King Tut - King Tut's Coup (1967) ... King Tut - Tut's Case Is Shut (1966) ... King Tut - The Spell of Tut (1966) ... King Tut - The Pharaoh's in a Rut (1966) ... King Tut - The Curse of Tut (1966) ... King Tut My favorite one is The Curse of Tut that followed by The Pharaoh's in a Rut and the close 2nd is King Tut's Coop that followed by Batman's Waterloo of which it's had Lee Meriweather wearing an Egyptian Gown to resembled Cleopatra. For Fun Only - I loved the 3rd Season show of which he did The Unkindest Tut of All of which he uses phony predictions to give the Caped Crusaders work to do and the villainous King Tut's uses his Tutscope to find out who is Batman's true identity and exposed him to the world and Batman/Bruce Wayne make use of their skills to prove him wrong. He did using ventriloquism and a Bat Dummy that he programmed the Batmobile to drive itself with Robin in the passenger seat. Anyway, tomorrow ... more Victor Buono and his cohorts of crime.

Sid Haig, Royal ApothecaryHe was the one of the best Henchman in King Tut as the Royal Apothecary. His voice was perfect for the part and his quest of getting the scarabs for King Tut was beyond perfection and he was the main reason behind the evil plot created by King Tut. He was cold and calculated and beyond reasons that I felt that he should had deserved more than a one time showing in two parts of Batman listed below. Tut's Case Is Shut (1966) ... Royal Apothecary The Spell of Tut (1966) ... Royal Apothecary Information SourceAbu Rabu Simbu Tu- an ancient Egyptian potion which can paralyze human will. The secret of its making had been lost when Saribus Saesar, a beetle sacred to the Egyptian Sun God, became extinct many centuries ago. King Tut obtained a number of these scarabs encased in amber, revived them and then killed them to make the potion. The above in italic is from that Information Source. I just loved the way he said, lotions, portions, and notions in the program itself and encouraged the other henchmen to put away the Dynamic Duo and he was the chief chemist of making Abu Rabu Simbu that put everyone at the mercy of King Tut. That's why he was the best and he was the most memorable one. I wished they used him again in future shows but that's one mistake that the Batman TV show executives failed to act upon and I was hoping that they use him more. It's bothers me when I started watching the shows as an adult. His mannerisms is spot on and most importantly he did a terrific job and also the most entertaining character in the first season of Adam West's Batman.

Three Queens - Name OnlyThumbnail Experiences from Me.Ziva RodannMarianna HillPatti GilbertZiva, the 1st one was the best actress to play the part of his "Queens" because she was resourceful, wicked, and somewhat goofy because she wanted to give King Tut a Hot Dog and all; I like the part of where she places an exploding asp in Gotham City Park after the placement of the sphinx and her part of the greatest batsui with Batman, Adam West. She gets my vote for Number 1. I was hoping for a return visit and was very disappointed in that. Marianna, the 2nd one was crafty, the most beautiful of his "Queens" and was equally deadly when she encourage Chief O'Hara to do all of those tricks high above Gotham City Police Headquarters and one of the reasons that causes her distrust with King Tut that she demanded a jester of her very own - Batman, who happen to be an arch enemy of King Tut. She was quite silly wearing those goofy glasses giving Police Commissioner Gordon "Pills" on an irregular basis. Patti, the 3rd one is by far the funniest of the three and I loved the way she knocked out Batgirl at one point of the show in the 3rd Season and her joyful enthusiasm supporting King Tut who discovered that Batman and Bruce Wayne are one of the same; because he had an innocent bystander plant a tracking device on the Batmobile and that's how King Tut made a bold statement that Bruce Wayne is one and the original Batman! I just loved her joy of being his Queen and always have a platter of fruit so that King Tut can have some treats for him to enjoy!

I saw the episodes with Ziva Rodann and Marianna Hill pretty recently and they were both great!
I thought Marianna Hill looked familiar, but I couldn't quite place her. I looked her up on IMDB, and she's in The Baby, which is highly recommended if you like cult movies circa 1970. They don't get much cultier than The Baby. And Ruth Roman is in it!

#36 KGBeast, Anatoli KnyazevFirst Appearance: Batman 417, followed by 3 additional issues Starting tomorrow, I will briefly recap these four issues and hopefully get a feel for them. I just got my Computer fixed and I just wanted to let everyone here that I did an now back on track and get this thread once and all rollin! I just couldn't do anything with my other PC at all and got frustrated using it. KGBeast is one of those extra-ordinary villains that no one really knows about and I was talking to friends at the store that I go to and he's one of those deadliest characters that really have a hard time gauging to. I just wanted to post this information so you can have time to think about him and prepare for it.
