The one thing that annoys me is the majority of the parents are unlikeable. At least have someone that is an adult be decent. I agree with you and I just can't stand Blossoms at all and I'm somewhat annoyed by Betty's Mom too. I wished they focus more on the kids than the Parents and I wished that they stopped showing the parents altogether. Just sporadic appearance at best. It's bothers me too much and that's why having the parents on the show makes it's not so enjoyable at all. Yes. In the comics the parents are more in the background (other than the ongoing feud between Archie & Mr Lodge) & are pretty much the ideal parents. Of course the TV series is not portraying Riverdale & the characters as ideal but almost nobody on the show has any redeeming qualities. Maybe with time the characters will be more nuanced. More human.

Another nice touch--the DC Comics Rebirth posters in Archie's room! I just watched the last show, I was looking for it and it made it cool to see that. I really think that this show has great potential and I hope it will have a 2nd Season. I would focus more on the kids than the parents; but it's has that great feel and the characters of Archie Comics comes alive. This is my 2nd favorite Comic Book Show today and Supergirl is still Number 1. The Flash and Arrow are distant in third place, then come Legends of Tomorrow ... I stopped watching Legend altogether; and thinking of dropping Flash too and the reason for that - I find it not my cup of tea anymore and Arrow the same way. So, the only two shows that I like is Supergirl and Riverdale.

Flash-Riverdale-Supergirl-Arrow. I don't watch Legends.

This may be my favorite episode so far.
Episode 7: The opening scenes are amazing! Then we segue into...
Jughead becomes a suspect in Jason's murder. We see a lot of Jughead's Dad & what a mess he is. Fred Andrews steps up to help Jughead. The Blossoms find out Polly is pregnant with Jason's child. Betty & Cheryl plot to protect Polly from both sets of parents (Coopers & Blossoms). Jughead & Betty continue to become closer. Veronica goes out with Reggie, Josie & Kevin to a club. And that ending!
Episode 8 returns Mar 30.

A totally awesome episode! The opening sequence was so cool and fun! I really feel bad for Jughead. I don't think his dad is a terrible person--but one whose demons got the better of him. Loved the scene of the whole gang going all Scooby Doo searching for Polly. Loved Veronica, Reggie, Josie, and Kevin clubbing. I laughed out loud at Josie's line to the bartender "we could tell my mother. The mayor." And Reggie "we'llbe happy to tell the cops how old we are." Cheryl's line " I think Polly is crazier than a serial killer hopped up on bath salts." had me laughing! I hope Polly and baby get a happy ending. Jughead and his dad too. And more Reggie please!! A perfect episode.

I agree that the last show was superb and everything about it was genuine and it's really makes you think about the future of it. I totally agree with md62 & @mrjupiter comments and I truly echo mr. jupiter comments about Polly and the baby having a good ending and Veronica with that cool club scene too. It's seems that every show that I watched it's gets better and better ... the writers on that show seems to be the unsung heroes of Riverdale.

I made this fan video.
It took me awhile, but show grew on me. In some ways it's kind of like Pretty Little Liars cause of the mystery aspect. Never thought Archie would have an affair with Miss Grundy. (Glad they made her younger for this show. LOL)
I like the Jughead & Betty relationship. I know some fans are upset that Jughead isn't asexual like in the comics, but I always thought Jughead should have had some type of romance. Josie and The Pussycats are ok. I'm getting use to the idea of them turning some classic characters into different races on TV. Although it took me by surprise at how bitchy the Josie character was. I wonder if later they will add Alan, Alex, and Alexandra to the cast. I'm also wondering as Archie gets into his music will he at some point form "The Archies" band? I would love to see Josie's reaction to that.... Wouldn't you?
Another thing I thought of and I hope they do it, since Riverdale is a more darker form of the Archie characters. I would love to see Sabrina The Teenage Witch, but make her somewhat of a darker character. Not really evil, but maybe not all good at first. I can picture a Sabrina in this new Riverdale who when she first uses her magic like to cause a little trouble now and then. Anyway, those were the things I was thinking.

I also liked Jughead's dream in the last episode as it gave tribute to the classic Archie comics.

I know about that show but I'm having problems watching the Flash with Kid Flash on board along with one actress Candice Patton as Iris West Allen and I just can't stand her at all. She is single most important actress in Flash that I have a hard time relating to and that's one of the reason why I don't care about that show anymore. I've may rethink about that show on the 21st.

Episode 8:Polly tells Sheriff Keller that Jason was supposed to sell drugs to bikers to get money. Archie gets some of his friends to help his Dad after his Dad's employees leave the job site. Cliff Blossom paid them off to prevent the land from being developed. Later The Southside Serpents "appear" to wreck the job site. Archie finds out Jughead's dad is a Serpent. Veronica & Betty have a baby shower for Polly. Alice Cooper kicks Hal Cooper out of the house after Polly tells her Hal took Polly to a doctor to convince her to have an abortion. This is why Polly hates her Dad. With Hal gone Betty tries to convince Polly to come home. Jughead's dad reveals to Hermione that Hiram Lodge sent some thugs to wreck the job site because Hiram found out she was fooling around with Fred Andrews. Later Jughead's dad tells Joaquin to hide Jason's jacket. Jughead asks his dad if he killed Jason which his dad denies. His dad confirms Polly's story about Jason using the Serpents to get money. In the last scene Polly chooses to live with the

This episode makes Betty's dad look really bad & her mom not so evil. Jughead's dad is somehow mixed up in Jason's death but I don't think he killed Jason. I like Hiram's "reach" into his family's lives even from jail. The Blossom family gets even more creepy. And I like how they are developing Archie & his dad's relationship. I can't wait for Archie's mom to arrive in Ep 10.

Episode 9:
Archie is the man! The Blossoms use him to convince their board that the Blossom Maple Syrup business is NOT in chaos after Jason's murder. Hiram Lodge's crimes start to affect others in Riverdale especially Ethel Muggs' family. Fred Andrews finds out from Mrs Lodge that Hiram was involved in Fred's business being attacked. The Cooper family continues to meltdown with Hal & Alice being separated. It is implied that the Blossoms blew the whistle on Lodge causing him to be sent to jail. Archie & Jughead continue to be a stabilizing force for everyone around them.
Next week: Archie's Mom returns to Riverdale.
