I'm thinking about going back to Riverdale and see whether it's changed or not ... but I've to wait a few days to watch it on my ON DEMAND system.
I rather watch Lt. Kenda first ...

I watch it once ... and see it's hasn't changed ... and it's still in Soap Opera mode -- forget it and thanks for the reminder; I really appreciate it ...

Still not quite getting into it like I did with seasons 1 and 2. I did enjoy Jughead and Betty’s investigation and it was nice to see Ethel again. Archie in the reformatory and the upcoming underground fight club doesn’t quite grab me, (when Archie gave his football speech, I was expecting the others to beat the daylights out of him) but I love seeing Veronica in action. Liked seeing her and Reggie visit Archie and wonder if something will happen between them (the actors who play Veronica and Reggie are dating in real life). I’m interested in the mystery that the parents seem to be involved in as well. Liked the scenes with Moose and Kevin. As I write this, I see I liked more than I disliked, ha! Oh well, I’m sure all these pieces will create a bigger and enjoyable picture.

However the cult of the Gargoyle King and the parent's own mystery intrigue me. I do like the use of Moose and Reggie more this season (so far).

I was talking to a dear friend of mine and he feel that if Riverside doesn't improve in the next 3-4 episodes -- he and his wife and their two daughters aren't watching it anymore. The Archie in jail situation is not the best way to handle it and that's killing the show. FYI ... the only character is noteworthy so far to them is Jughead and Betty and they simply don't care for Veronica at all. Their two daughters feels the same way and they go to High School and none of their friends aren't watching the show either.
I recorded the show off of my DVR yesterday and not going to bother it at all. This is my last post on this thread.

Still not on board with all the Serpent stuff, but a pretty good show this week. Loved seeing Veronica and Reggie working together and his reaction to the jingle jangle was hilarious. Nice to see Ethel featured too. The storyline reminds me of the Dungeons and Dragons craze of the early 80s. This season seems to be a bit out there with the Farm cult and the creepy game, but so far, I am enjoying it. I wonder if Reggie and Veronica will become an item while Archie is locked up...he is Archie's rival after all. Also good to see Veronica one up her dad!

I actually like the farm cult/gargoyle king story. I have faith that it will show the bad side of cults. And the less they showcase Hiram the more I like the series. I also am looking forward to the flashback episode coming up about the parents.

Last night's flashback episode was fun seeing the adults interact back in high school (complete with 80s/90s intro!). Interesting backstories for each of them, especially Penelope and FP. Looking forward to learning more about who the Gargoyle King is (eventually!). The scene where Alice saw him was very creepy.

Season 4 Episode 1:
I lost interest last season with Riverdale but I decided to watch the season premiere as they dealt with the death of Luke Perry. They had to write out the character of Fred Andrews. And they did a really great job that was full of respect and tasteful and tugged at your heartstrings. Very emotional and well done. However based on next week's previews I doubt I will be watching this show in the future.
