I loved the part of Cheryl and her Mom and I was able to catch it last night because Lt. Kenda wasn't on at the same time. Betty becoming another favorite of mine and I like her more than Veronica. Right now, Reggie and Archie are about equal and the show is really comes on it's own and the chemistry is getting better. I hope that this series becomes another Smallville and having said that ... it's really shines.

S2 E7:
3 separate stories that all interconnect by the end. The first is Archie & Jughead. Jughead gets pulled in even more to having to walk on the darkside to keep his father safe in prison. The second involves Josie as Chuck Clayton is back & trying to atone for his bad behavior last year. We see more of freaky scary Cheryl. The third is Betty & Veronica as they track Sheriff Keller. Betty thinks he is the Black Hood. Ronnie thinks he is having an affair. Keller may or may not be the BH. We do get an answer as to whether or not he is having an affair.
Wow. The writers are doing a great job keeping the tension high yet moving the story line along.

I loved the pacing of last night's episode and the nod to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre in the opening.
It was like 3 episodes in one. Archie and Jughead's story was very horror/noir. Josie's was horror with moments of lightness. Loved seeing her and Chuck do the Twist at Pop's. I hope they bring Chuck back and he can be part of the gang. A Josie/Chuck/Reggie triangle would be fun to watch. Looks like Josie had made a mess with the Pussycats too. Cheryl is psycho! Enjoyed seeing Betty and Veronica go all Nancy Drew on Sheriff Keller and the big revelation about just where disappears to! WOW!! Jughead is definitely in a mess with that lawyer. I hope his dad can get out of jail quick!

I have the 1st season to begin watching all the way through. Picked up the DVD set for $10 at Target during Black Friday sales. Looking forward to diving into this as I have liked the couple of episodes I have seen so far last season on the CW.

While I enjoyed last night's episode, something seemed off about it. Not sure what it was. The whole part with Betty at the Wyte Wyrm just seemed out of character unless they are going the route of Dark Betty again. The scene with Jughead and his Dad was heartbreaking. Archie, Betty, Veronica, and Jughead all in turmoil. Cheryl gets creepier towards Josie (and I think Josie is catching on). Love seeing Alice Cooper going all Southside, haha! I think there is some chemistry that needs to be explored between her and Jughead's dad.

While I enjoyed last night's episode, something seemed off about it. Not sure what it was. I felt the same way. There was some good plot points in the episode that seemed to just go nowhere or just fizzled by the end of the episode. Like the Riverdale Reaper. |

I just find this episode is one of my least favorite and I just don't like Archie, Betty, Veronica, and Jughead going into a panic attack/turmoil and it's bothers me a lot. I also didn't care for Cheryl weirdness and she is very weird and treating Josie in not a good way at all. I think Josie needs to be extra careful around Cheryl from this point on. I hope that the next episode will get this back on track ... the ending of this show wasn't that good and it's bother me so much! |

S2 E9:
Fred Andrew's hospital bill is $86,000. Veronica uses her Mom's credit card to pay it off. She also finds out her dad bought Pop's. Jughead gets the younger Serpents to help him get rid of Peabody & end her influence on the Serpents. Betty and Archie get a call from the Black Hood. Then some creepy scenes with Grandma Blossom. When they figure out where he is they find an empty coffin. The Black Hood forces Betty to bury Archie alive. However the police arrive and the Keller shoots and kills him. The Black Hood is then revealed...and we have some Christmas scenes as they open their gifts from each other.
I'm not sure how I feel about this episode. On one hand it was filled with tension & suspense. On the other hand it felt rushed & the ending was anti-climatic. I hope this was a red herring & the Black Hood mystery isn't really over.

I enjoyed the midseason finale....and I agree the Black Hood mystery did seem to a bit anti-climatic. But...Betty did keep the hood, so who knows where that will go. Loved seeing Nana Blossom and her line about "drowning them like kittens" and of course Penelope Blossom is awesome in her scenes. Veronica and the credit card--way to go! But, I wonder what dark road she is going to go down with her parents. Hope Jughead and his dad will be all good now. Very creepy scenes, especially with the empty grave and Archie being buried. Also, that kiss between Betty and Archie...look out Veronica, haha! And I did audibly cheer when Betty hit the Black Hood with the shovel!

I've just don't understand why Archie is being buried here and I'm a bit confused by that scene. I'm very nervous about Veronica paying that $86,000 credit card bill that Fred Andrews had and she might have some concerns from her parents and all. It's has some great moments of when Betty hit the Black Hood with the shovel. I also echo md62 concerns about Jughead dealing with the Peabody and working with the Serpents and that part of the show has some unfinished business to take care. Like @mrjupiter said earlier that kiss between Archie and Betty ... I didn't expecting it at all. High Drama and Suspense and that's the theme of this show that I just watched. I recorded this show and watched it today. |

I just can't understand why the U.S. still don't have a universal health care system. As for the Black Hood, I wonder if we'll know more next season... it wasn't enough of a plot to warrant more episodes, I think, but Swenson's eye colour was all wrong, so... |

^My theory has been that it is Betty's father (I think he has green eyes plus his absence has me wondering). Now, the fact they showed Archie flashing back to when he locked eyes with the killer and the fact that Betty kept the hood has me wondering if they are going to pass this off as everything being ok, while they continue to look for the real killer.
Or, if the show really wants to they will just leave it, which to me would be a mistake and a lazy way out if they did not have some sort of actual ending for this whole saga.

WOW! What a midseason opener. This show continues to be awesome! We finally get to meet Betty's brother. The Black Hood mystery may not be over. And Archie??? He is in over his head with this new revelation.
